great vise for the price!!!! we bought 2 of them to replace really old ones in our warehouses. Easy to install, solid and they stay in place, lock down. looks good, small but get the job done.

Solid bench vise. No Frills, but does have a circular section for pipe and PVC. Happy with this purchase. 3/8" bolts needed to secure to bench.

I picked up this WORKPRO bench vise to help with my woodworking projects — specifically to hold small pieces of wood steady while I plane them into curls for making wooden flowers. For that purpose, it works very well. It holds the material securely and has helped make the process much easier.That said, there is a bit of side-to-side play in the jaws, which might be an issue for precision work. But for general hobby use or lighter-duty tasks, it’s definitely solid enough. Once mounted, it feels stable — just make sure to grab some lag bolts and washers to properly secure it to your workbench, as mounting hardware isn’t included.Overall, it’s a good value for the price and a practical choice for beginner or intermediate woodworking needs.

Yes, this vise has good width at the clamp. But, the overall sturdiness of this vise is questionable as it has a very small frame. Looking at it mounted gives me no additional faith in it. I learned to always check the weight as I did not with this order.
