Let me start by asking and answering a few questions.Q. Why did I need a card like this and what was I looking for? i.e. What were my expectations?A. I have an old Dell Inspiron slimline, that I've been using for casual stuff and old games, and I was upgrading it a little just so it could do that. It's got a Core 2 Duo and 4GB DDR2 and such, so it's a weak machine. In addition, I was using a 1440x900 monitor, so I didn't need a lot of power. I wanted to play things like Star Wars Battlefront II, Portal, and a few others in native resolution.Q. Why did I choose this product?A. For starters, I like EVGA. Everything about their designs, their box, logo, the cards, just looks really cool to me. Much more than any of the other brands, except maybe PNY. But anyway, I had just one PCIe 2.0 x16 slot, with an ethernet card in the next slot, which was PCIe 2.0 x1. So I needed a single slot, low profile, pcie 2 card. And also, my PSU is only 250W, so it is really weak. My last restriction was budget, and I don't get a lot of spending money so forking over $35 for this was already alot. When I learned that EVGA announced new GT 710 cards, that's about when I pulled the trigger on this card.Q. How was the buying, unboxing, installing experience?A. Superb. I have access to Amazon Prime so I set the shipping to Same Day, as I was buying this in the morning and the order was over $35. The box looks really nice, I even keep it on display over on the shelf. It's got the driver CD, which was actually really useful. And the low profile brackets, which I needed. So I unpack this mini beast, and prepare myself to install just the digital ports because I don't imagine the VGA bracket extension being long enough to go around the ethernet card in the next slot. But lo and behold, it does! So if I need VGA I actually can have it! That made me REALLY happy. So now that's done, I load up the driver and everything works great!Q. How does it perform? How does it compare with your expectations?A. Let's see. It fit well in the case, check. It worked on my older system, check. It ran my old games in native res, check. So far so good! It actually runs Portal 2 with very playable rates on medium settings, so that was cool. Minecraft is also playable at native res with all the settings turned down. (I tested at view distance 8, fast graphics, with minimal lightning, decreased particals, mipmap level 4, and no Vsync or FPS limiter)So overall it was a good buy. It brought back some functionality to a previously not-good-for-much PC. Sure, there are bottlenecks, but if I ever do a serious upgrade I'll just place the 710 with something better, like a 730 or maybe a rare low profile 750 ti. If you need a decent low end card for $40 or less, this is the one.

My father recently obtained a couple of 1080p monitors to use with his desktop. Unfortunately, the integrated graphics on the motherboard of his desktop couldn't even drive one display at 1080p. Since his birthday was coming up, I got this for him. It's not a gaming card by any stretch of the imagination, but for what he's doing that doesn't at all matter. It happily drives all three of his monitors at their native resolutions! I'm not a fan at all of the GeForce Experience 3.0+, the fact that it makes you log in for automatic updates. (I have a GTX-1080 and I used to have a GTX-660, so I was well aware of this when buying) so I set him up with the last pre-3.0 release to keep his drivers up to date. The only other complaint I have is the mHDMI connector. I didn't realize when buying this, but the HDMI is not full sized. We needed to order another cable to connect one of the displays since we didn't have an mHDMI cable, which is mostly used on mobile devices.I did find it odd that this very much low end, older, non-gaming to begin with card came with a coupon for $100 off new monitors, but that all the monitors it applies to are very expensive gaming monitors. I assume it's a generic Nvidia promotion. (This was in July 2018 FYI) No one is going to pair a super high end gaming monitor with a GT 710...Anyway, aside from the new Geforce Experience and the mHDMI, this is a very solid card for non-gaming use with enough power to run three displays no problem! It's pretty cheap to pick up, so if that's your intent, I highly recommend it!

I was looking for a video card that would work in an older Dell Poweredge R710 server running Windows Server 2016. I'm using it to serve up Plex media content. I'm using this in conjunction with a TrippLite KVM and TrippLite 1080p rack mounted console.Due to the R710 requiring a x8 pci card and not a x16 like many of the graphic cards on the market today, this one was the best option I found. It meets the demand for HD video output, while also pulling below the maximum power requirements of the x8 pci slot (I believe to be around 24 watts). Trust me, I tried a lot of different cards and would recommend this one over the others.If using on a Dell Poweredge R710 server, you will need to install the Nvidia Graphics Software package while using the integrated video card to see the screen (you will have installed this card but are not using it yet). The software can be downloaded off Nvidia's website. Once the software is installed, reboot the unit with your monitor now plugged into the newly installed video card. You should see the bios screen booting. Enter into the bios settings area upon boot (F2 I think) where you will need to disable the "embedded devices" > "intergated video" card. It may not allow you to modify it until the monitor is plugged into the newly installed video card. Once disabled, hit escape and the save/reboot. You should be good to go!I wanted to share this with people because it took me a while to determine to correct video card that would work in a Dell Poweredge R710 server. Cost effective and more than ample to run three screens concurrently for a work station.

I bought this as a warehouse deal, upgrading a card that was only 256MB. The card fit into the slot well, not taking up much room at all. Nothing much to do other than open the case and pop it into the slot. It fit very nicely in the computer case and I didn’t need to upgrade my power supply, although it did say on it that it was good up to 300W. The card was recognized by Windows 10 nicely, and the OS downloaded the required drivers automatically. Dual monitors worked after a reboot. Video rendering is much faster. My computer no longer sucks. I’m not using this for gaming, just your run of the mill graphics applications like photo editing. Happy I purchased this great deal. 2GB is a 10 fold increase in video memory for me. I ran a video test and the results said the card was good. This was much cheaper than buying a new computer. A better video card and SATA SSD and my little computer is fast again. Thanks Amazon!

Was looking for an upgrade to my 12 year old video card. Unfortunately I thought any video card made today would destroy my 512mb video card. (Geforce 9800gt)Some how a 2gb card that's a year old destroyed this card.If you dont have a video card in your computer and you need one I do recommend this. But if your looking to do any light gaming. I would avoid.Barley plays games unfortunately. Had to go back to my 9800gt.

J'ai commandé, j'ai reçu, j'ai installé, et j'ai souri. Tout a marché sans souci. Grosse mention supplémentaire : sur Linux, tout a été impeccable. Pas eu besoin de chercher de midi à quatorze heures de pilotes ou autres. Plug and Play dans toute sa splendeur. Ah! Si seulement EVGA pouvait être une personnalité politique. Peut-être qu'enfin, les nombreuses promesses électorales seraient vraiment réalisées, une fois le vote passé.

I bought this Video Card To replace a 260 video card that failed to work after years of use. This card was 1/4 of the size of my old Card and function much better. I was concerned this being a used card it might not work, but Amazon rated as in good Condition, and it was when I received it. So I am happy with my purchase. Thanks Amazon.
