Reading Glasses

I got these because of the thin storage they fit in a pocket on the front of my phone holder. So, the two are always together and I'm not hunting for large glasses case. They are very light weight. Very occasionally they'll come off for this reason. Style works for me.

These glasses are terrific — incredibly thin and stylish! The product is well built — high quality. The included case is also thin, and it’s extremely easy to remove and insert the glasses. Big upgrade from the usual drug store readers! I’m glad that I trusted the wisdom and advice of Dennis H — when it comes to reading glasses and other things, he knows that he’s talking about! This is a great idea. However, the magnet was not strong enough to stay on the iPhone case I have. That's what I was hoping would work.

The most important thing to know is that it does nothing for astigmatism. Anybody who buys pre-graduated lenses knows this. However, since the lenses are flat, the point at which everything is in focus is only in the center of the lens. So peripheral vision is not going to be in focus. I use them to watch airplane movies, an occasional read, and for that they work since I am focusing only on the screen or at a few words in a book. Other than that, they are plastic, relatively cheap, work at a very specific point, but fit into a nice thin case. They take up no room at all. I would only use them in emergencies or for very specific use - like on an airplane. I would never recommend these glasses for everyday use. I'd get a headache both from flat lenses to having to fold them just right to get into the case - which can be problematic until you get used to it.

I had been using the pince-nez version of ThinOptics readers for a couple of years. I finally decided to try this full frame version and am very happy with it. The case for these glasses uses a magnet to attach itself to whatever it is you want to attach it to, like a phone case. The magnet is weak and so I used double-sided tape to make the mounting more permanent. But the glasses themselves are comfortable and look good when worn.

These might be right for you but they are wide and can't be adjusted so if I look down they fall off my face, and while I'm not a big person my face is not especially small. I got them because I don't want to carry a purse and these are efficiently small. If I slide them down my nose they are not comfortable for any length of time. Taking them off and on as one does with reading glasses is also fidgety. The thin stems get caught in my hair if I put them on my head. They don't stay well attached to a shirt as the will fall off if you bend over. Unlike other glasses you have to be gentle putting them in the case so the stems don't get bent so using the case to take them off and put them on repetitiously isn't convenient . I imagine if you are pulling these out to read a menu or check your phone then putting them away they are a convenient space saver. They seem sturdy enough but again putting in the case does seem to be a way to damage the stems if not done carefully. Can't say for sure because I have been careful. I wouldn't buy them again at half the price.

I have purchased three of these now and I am done with them because they don’t last at all. If you work in the medical field and you are constantly on the move this will not work for you. Plus a fellow co-worker thought it was a switchblade. What?!

Son lo mejor para tener a la mano y poder ver esas letras pequeñas, o hacer esa tarea. No son para usarlos mucho tiempo pues no son tan cómodos. Pero para traerlos siempre con uno son la mejor opción.

This is the second pair of glasses I've purchased and I simply can't live without them. They are thin enough to fit in any small bag, which is perfect for any time day or night. My regular reading glasses are too big to take out with me. Thank for this ingenious invention

A truly outstanding product….. so unobtrusive, you can slip them in any pocket and forget about them until you need them….. Brilliant !

I like how nice and thin it is, but it was way to big for my head, more suited to males
