Works quite well, and seems to be heavy duty. There is a lot of cord here, enough to replace the lift cord in many sets of blinds.I replaced the cord on our 30 year old blinds, and it only took a few minutes. Since it's plastic, you can just cut the lift cord (or untie it) from your old blinds, and melt the two ends together with a lighter.. then pull it through. That way you don't have to take your blinds down and mess with the track, or thread each slat through the ladders. It will fray and come unwoven at the ends, so it's a good idea to melt the ends and tie them off when finished.After replacing the lift cord, the blinds lifted up much easier, as there was less resistance.This cord has other uses as well. I was able to repair our fabric toilet seat cover which had been falling off since the elastic bands had worn out. Sliding this through where the band was and tying it off keeps it in place.

hello, this product was sent back to the company. even though it is the largest listed cord size for wood blinds (1.8 vs 1.4) and the photos look very close to the actual measurement, it is not the right size. wood blinds have three cords that pull and lower the blinds. if you use this size cord for one of the broken ones, the original two will pull as usual, but the thinner cord will pull up, but will not lock and that side will fall...unless it is replacing the middle cord of the three.. we did not open the item, but put the original broken piece next to the new rolled up shade cord. the new one was definitely smaller. packaged well and shipped fast, but it was not the right size. good product if you need 100 yards of 1.8mm shade cord..

Slow shipping but good product. Ordered 12/29 received 1/9. It's just what was needed to repair an old mini-blind that had worn out its longest cord. The new cord is smoother & slimmer than the two remaining original cords due to their wear & tear. This means it gripped as well by the ribbed roller, allowing a bit of sag. Threading new cord through the mechanism & slats is fairly simple so I'll probably replace all 3 for even traction. The spool is more than a bare cardboard tube so leftover cord shouldn't become a tangled mess b4 I want it again. Included a small matchbox in the image for size reference.

This cord was not what I expected it to be, for the purposes that I needed it for!I use these cords as Roman shade lift cord, typically with a Cord-lockOn arrival I immediately noticed that the quality of these cords were substantially different, in that it would not stand up to the rigorous of the pulling that is expected of a Roman Shade, especially when being pulled through a cord-lock with metal teeth’s to grip the cord in a locking position!In my trial of this product to see how it would stand up.I have noticed that the cord started shreadding apart only after about the tenth up and down pulling and locking motion of the Shade.I also bought and return another set of cords just like these from another seller on Amazon!Amazon was very prompt in addressing my return concerns. I immediately ordered another set of these cords (the ones in question) I did not want to be bothered with yet another return process, so I decided to give the thing a try, even against my better judgment...well I proved myself correct, in that this cord is not ideal to use as a Cord Lift for Fabric Roman Shades! You would need to take that shade down to replace these cord in about a year...more or less!I have bought many (1.4 Polyester Cords Non-stretch cord) over the years from different sellers on Amazon, and have always been satisfied with the quality, but things seems to have changed here.After 4 of the same type of these cords from different sellers, I am no longer comfortable buying them, who wants to be bothered with this constant returning!Sorry!!

I have this thickness and one that is half as thick.I use these cords as a Very Strong string/cord/rope.This cord is so much stronger than any other string/cord/rope of a thicker diameter.This cord stands up very well in a wet and cold winter outdoor environments.Some of my outdoor uses have been around for seasons.I recommend this product and the seller and to keep around the home/office/workshop.

I was told by a seller of horizontal blinds that the strings could not be changed once broken, but this string worked great. It's a little thinner than the one that was there before, but so far so good. Works great.

I ordered this cordage, not knowing if it would fit the bill for the project I had, but it was just great! It has a silky texture with some sheen to it. It is very strong as well. There was way more product than I required but it’s the type of thing that’s nice to have on hand as there are so many uses for it!

This cord is a great replacement for my living room drape since my original cord broke. These cord makes a great pull cord for opening and closing my drape.

Worked pretty good. Better than ANYTHING I saw in any hardware store. I would have liked it ever so slightly stiffer. But would definitely recommend.

Used it to repair me RV blinds, worked out great. Price was great and fast delivery. Hopefully it will last.
