Where has this basket been all my life?? I have been longing for a steamer basket that wasn't metal and could stand up in a pan. Now, these are meant to be used with your pressure cooker - but honestly, it works great in any pot it fits in! PLUS you can dishwasher it. PLUS it collapses so it takes up just a little bit of space in my pan drawer. The handles are SO great to just lift and drain whatever you are steaming. There are little feet on the bottom to keep the bulk of the steamer off the bottom of your pan. The sides are tall, so fill it up! It is NOT flimsy either. It STAYS up even when empty. Just the perfect little steamer. It is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. If you steam ANYTHING - veggies, dumplings, bread - YOU NEED this - and I rarely say that. I've only just begun to use it, so time will tell. Having said that, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. It is a little weird of a green - kinda mild alien (?ha?) but who cares about that? Not me! I'm into actual function.

If you could only have one accessory for your pressure cooker, this is the one. It’s a BIG basket that stores compactly and it’s really sturdy. Collapsibility for storage is the feature that sold me on this item, but it is my most-used accessory that stays inside the instant pot. It is easy to clean and holds way more than the metal thingy that came with the pot. The silicone basket handles clip together easily to stay away from the pot edges and are cool enough to handle within a minute of the the lid coming off. The base is really sturdy and just high enough for a little extra liquid below the steamer. Some unexpected pluses: It’s a great colander. It substitutes for an egg rack. It holds my small (4-5 cup) mixing bowl, which is great for bowl-in-bowl cooking with out having to fool with the metal rack. Like all silicone, it retains odors, but so far I’ve had no problems with flavors transferring from one use to the next.

I was tired of using the metal steamer inside my instant pot because it was small and didn't fit many vegetables without them pouring over into the water. I love that this steamer is BIG, can fit a ton of veggies (great for meal prepping) & that it's silicone! it's easy to clean and very easy to store since it can be rolled down to make smaller. I use this weekly & it's still in great condition. I even purchased one for my dad for Christmas after he saw mine & commented how many vegetables fit into it. Highly recommend. This small business has wonderful customer relations as well & even include a hand-written thank you note with each purchase.

I bought this steamer basket to use with my 6 quart Instant Pot. It just barely fits in the pot, but it does fit. It arrived on time with a hand-written thank you for purchasing from their family run business.I've only had the steamer basket one day so I can't speak to it's longevity, but it does appear to be sturdy and well-made. So far I used it to cook diced potatoes, carrots, sweet potatoes, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower and even a whole butternut squash. It worked perfectly and it was easy to clean.The only "con" that I've found is the steamer basket is so tall it covers up the maximum fill line on the Instant Pot's inner pot so you have to be careful not to over fill the Instant Pot. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

It fits into 6 and 8 qts Pressure cookers. It does the job and easy to clean.

I had been using two inserts for my Instant Pot that were less than ideal-- the cheesy metal trivet that came with, and a different silicone trivet I purchased separately that lacked walls. This new silicone steamer is much better because it has walls (so things like hard boiled eggs don't fall out) and it doesn't have large gaps like the metal trivet which invite food to fall through to the bottom of the instant pot. The long handles are easy to grasp and don't get hot. A bonus is that this basket also functions perfectly as a colander. Very functional and attractive. One item takes the place of three! I also like the fact that it folds flat if you are short on space, though take others' advice and photograph it before you remove it from the packaging to make it easier to figure out how to make the folds.

We love pasta, all kinds of pasta. I recently learned how to make a Vietnamese cold noodle bowl that uses rice vermicelli. I was having difficulty draining it once boiled, it is very fine and seemed to make it through my colander every time. The noodles go from the boiling water to being rinsed in cold water. This silicone steamer basket makes this chore SIMPLE. I simply boil my vermicelli, and lift the handles, take it from the stove to the sink where I can run cold water on my noodles. Perfect every time. I also now use it for spaghetti and other pastas. It will be going camping with us as I don't have a lot of room and dumping boiling water can be hazardous. Using this, I can simply remove the pasta from the water, all at once and allow the pan of water to cool before dumping it out. NO more burnt fingers!

I am super happy with this steamer basket! I love the fact that this item is easy to store because it collapses down. I have used it to steam veggies in my Instant Pot (6 quart MAX) and it works great. It is such a time saver to have this steamer because you can throw in your unwashed food, rinse it (use it as a colander), put the whole thing in the pressure cooker, pull it out (it's easy with the handles!), and then because it is flexible, you can manipulate the shape in a way that makes it easy to pour out your steamed food straight from the pot into a dish!

Love it. I had a flimsy stainless steel one which was consistently a hassle to clean and work with. I am sooo over the moon that I found this one. I steam veggies every day and this one is not only really nice to look at but it holds the veg well and is overall easier to both work with and clean. I have a 6qt Instant Pot and the fit is great. There is tons of room in the bucket for veg & potatoes. No worries either with cutting my fingers like I did multiple times with the stainless steel one in which the pieces kept falling off. i needed a steaming basket that i can use in pressure cooker, in a pot or on a pan, and that i can also use in a microwave. this is great that it does all i needed, much more capable than a metal basket. and on top, it's so much easier to clean!
