Rimmel London Stay Matte - 003 - Primer, Ultra-Lightweight, Controls Shine, Doesn’t Feel Greasy, 1oz

This is the CHEAPEST but MOST EFFECTIVE primer I have used in DECADES. I have EXTREMELYYYYYYY oily skin. Like, even the most expensive "mattifying" products will.not.work. This product WORKS. I use it after I use my niacinimide serum, then I put this on, then I put my makeup on which isn't totally mattifying. I am not shiny at all. The texture is smooth and white, so far it has lasted on my face longer than ANY other product. It is not sticky. The size of the bottle is small, but let me tell you -- a little goes a LONG WAY. I bet you this will last me at least 2 months.

This primer is a staple in my routine now. It made my skin feel so smooth and kept my makeup in place all day without getting greasy or patchy. I love how lightweight it feels and how well it controls shine.My only complaint? I wish it came in a larger bottle! A product this good deserves an XL version.

This was surprisingly pleasing. it was a lot cheaper than most mattefiers I have very shiny/ textured skin which usually makes my pores look worse but this product keeps me matte most of the day so my imperfections are not as pronounced. And it doesn't feel heavy or have a white residue. I will be buying this from now on

The smell is bad but works ok.

I ordered this July 10th and have tested and used it and other primer and setter products along with this one to try and find something that would last through 10 hours of working inside a warehouse, heavy sweating all day long. This is the ONLY brand that allows my makeup to last more than two hours, even through me wiping sweat off my face and neck all day long.The primer kind of feels like a dry glue when you’re putting it on, and barely has a scent. It has NOT made my skin break out or my pores clog. The setter has the softest, most pleasant cucumber smell.When I say I’ve used other products, I’ve tested over the last two months about 8 different brands including this one and no other even comes close to this one. If you’re a heavy sweater or have a labor intensive job and still want to be able to wear makeup, buy this one. Over the last five/six weeks I haven’t used another brand or products because these two TOGETHER work amazingly, even over really expensive brands. I did attempt to mix and match and the setter and primer both do not work as well separated, what I mean is if you use this primer with a different setter it might not stay on as well, etc. both the two together are like magic.I just placed another order for delivery the end of this month, by then I should actually need some more, which means I would get a solid 8 weeks out of both products, which using 6/7 days a week both have lasted a long while. So a little goes a long way.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I have been experimenting with different primers and Rimmel London Stay Matte - 003 - Primer is my new go-to primer.Initially the thickness and texture is a little off-putting. First, I dab this over my trouble spots such as, cheek rosacea and larger pore areas and also around my crows feet, and then to the rest of my face. When I smooth it out over my face , the texture becomes a little more silky to apply. After it dry's, I go ahead and apply my foundation with a brush. The foundation goes on much smoother.I thought I was imagining this, but after quite a few hours of wearing it, my skin feels like it is being "tightened", especially in the 'crows feet' area near my eyes. This sensation is very similar to using a "5-minite wrinkle eraser" product. If I use the primer alone, I get the same sensation, so, it's not from my foundation, etc. Again, this seems to happen after about 6 hours after application. I like the way it feels like it is tightening up the wrinkles.Since I only use a small amount, it's a good value for the price.I am very happy with primer and intend to continue to use it.

I love this primer! It does a great job matting my face for an awesome luxe matte finish. It's more of a soft matte, not cakey, like some primers can make your makeup look. 40+ combo skin type, oily T-zone. Hope that helps 🤗.
