Vizio SB3821-C6C 38 Inch 2.1 Sound Bar System (Certified Refurbished)

We are both seniors and beginning to have trouble understanding the voices on our big-screen TV. Built-in speakers are marginal to begin with, and clearly, we needed more. This unit received good reviews across a number of sites, and the fact that it was reconditioned by Vizio allowed me to also get the sub-woofer for a price very close to the soundbar alone, if I'd bought it new. Arrived as advertised, complete, cosmetically perfect and functioning perfectly. Installation was so simple. I plugged it in, attached the optical connecting wire, and it instantly started working. The sub-woofer was the same. Plug it in, turn it on, and it links in seconds. Great sound, super easy to use. If you want a superb soundbar/sub-woofer for just over a hundred bucks, grab one. You won't be sorry.

The room I am using it in is my Master Bedroom, Measuring 20 by 15 and with some odd angles here and there. The TV Speakers were ok but never really that great. I connected this using the Included optical cable and.. .. WOW! It came right up, detected the input type, immediately connected to the sub and the sound is amazing! Whether I leave the TV Speakers on or off, this soundbar adds an amazing about of depth and range to the audio. The sub being wireless means I can move it around my room to achieve the desired audio quality.So far I've had no problems with it and cannot complain at all. Time will tell if it continues to be that way though.

I was buying this for an outdoor theater where it will likely get beat up and moved around a lot anyway, so I didn't care about scratch-and-dent type stuff.The unit came with some serious scuffs on both pieces, and was missing a manual and one of the cords (for audio connections, which I have a zillion of in a box, since I'm 40). No biggie there.The audio sounds good, and the remote was simple once I downloaded a manual and figured out how to use everything.I would say the "renewed" is more of a "scratch-and-dent" in terms of the one I got, but if you don't mind that, or don't need it to look amazing, this is a good value.

Update: It died on us. I bought Feb 2020 and it's Nov. 2020. Didn't last very long and I cant return it. Really not happy.Original post:Amazing soundbar. Works perfectly, looks brand new. Came with everything and the manual as well. Subwoofer really makes the movies pop. Highly recommend and great savings buying renewed. It's practically new with no scratches and works perfect. Love it. Can't wait to get another.

Whelp, guys. I think this seller is maybe OK, but the product they sell itself is CRAP. I bought this Visio sound bar to use with my desktop PC. I literally used it no more than 2-3 times tops, as I have been using my headphones for gaming. Not even a day after the warranty expired, I was not able to even power on the sound bar. The base works (the LED lights up) but the soundbar itself is toast. Otherwise when it worked the sound was great. I tried multiple power cables - nothing works. I contacted the seller and they basically said "so sorry about your luck - sucks to be you! K thanks bye."
