Blackmagic Design Micro Converter HDMI to SDI 3G PSU (BM-CONVCMIC/HS03G/WPSU)

I use these in my production setup. I have been very happy with them so far. It is powered by USBC and that makes me very happy. That gives me the options for power. So far the have functioned superbly. They are just little more money than generic alternatives but they work well. If I had one wish, it would be that they could be mounted without purchasing additional hardware.

I do the Live Stream for Tennessee Saddle Club Association every year. I needed to convert my HDMI to SDI to run a longer distance than possible with an HDMI cable. About 200'. I used a second one to convert back to HDMI in 2023 and in 2024, I had a new switcher that was SDI so I used an HDMI to SDI and into the switcher. Both ways worked perfectly. The SDI broadcasts looks better, but same camera.

Ive had a customer that had a monitor 250ft away and had problems with hdbasetI decided to change to hdmi to sdi and cant complain been running since .One key factor dont skimp on the cable !!!

This product works while others don’t. BM product do perform. I did note it was rated up to 3G network and some network operate much higher, 12G
