16 Pcs 10" Black Solid Steel Floating Shelf Bracket Blind Shelf Supports - Hidden Brackets for Floating Wood Shelves - Concealed Blind Shelf Support – Screws and Wall Plugs Included

I used the brackets for some hardwood (cherry) shelves and I'm really pleased with the end result. They seem very solid and stable. Some tips if you're considering buying these:- The screws and anchors that come with the brackets are too small; you'll need some drywall anchors instead, with flat head screws (I used #6 x 1-1/4 in screws with 50 lb anchors that take #6 screws).- If you're buying a long drill bit to use with these brackets, buy an auger bit as opposed to a regular twist bit; an auger bit will clear out the waste quicker and better as you're drilling.- You'll need some way to mortise the back of your shelf to accept the brackets. If you're hanging only a couple of shelves, you can chop the mortises with a chisel, just make sure you don't blow out the edges of your board. If you're hanging a lot of shelves, I recommend making a jig for a plunge router with a bushing guide.- And perhaps this goes without saying, but make sure that your shelf is at least 1-1/4" thick if you plan to hide the brackets completely (1-3/8" would be even better - less chance of blowing out the edges of your mortises).

Easy to do floating shelves.

For a shelf you need a least two. And that means, that they have to align properly .. and that is tricky. Possibly my walls are not so flat either. So I struggled, and as a result got a floating shelf that (1) I made myself and (2) is more sturdy than the Ikea LACK.

Just what we needed!

I tested these to see how strong these are and the weight it said it will hold is wrong. I would not put no more than 50 lbs per pair. Any more than that it will bend. I made a shelf and hung it and the welds were cracking once I put almost 70lbs on it

The brackets are strong and do hold the shelves just fine but holly molly the stem portion from the base is at a different angle on each one. What I ended up doing was placing thin peaces of cardboard behind the base to adjust the angle so each one was level. It worked but sure did take a while to get there. I'd recommend just using steel L brackets turned sideways.

Very hard and sturdy. I've used it to clip a shelf in the wall and it worked perfectly.

I bought these for some shelves in my bar with 145mm timber. I intentionally bought these too long and all though these are steel, it was not too difficult cut off the excess length. Unless you are fixing these onto a solid wall, bin the screws and plugs. I was fitting onto a plasterboard wall and found the best way to secure was with spring toggles, any type of plug with a flange results in the back plate rocking and never appears secure. The other tips I would advise is use a pillar drill to ensure straight holes, cut a batten with the distance between the brackets this ensures you are always working with the same spacing and the last one is to use a 13mm drill bit as this makes it a bit easier to mount the shelf. overall a great product
