I've gotten motion sick all my life (over 70 years). I've tried other remedies, but Dramamine is the only one that is completely effective for me. It can leave me feeling a bit spacey, particularly on an empty stomach, but better that than nauseous. It's a bit of a diuretic, so be sure to keep drinking liquids to avoid dehydration. On modern commercial aircraft on a non-turbulent day, I can get away with only a half tablet and not feel spacey at all. If all else has failed for you, give Original Dramamine a try.

I get motion sickness on the plane, in the backseat of a car/cab, on a winding road, and on a boat (yay!) so I pretty much always have this on me. It can make me feel a bit sleepy, but motion sickness is worse!
