Compatible Replacement for 1911 Grips Premium Gun Grips Colt 1911 Gov. & Clones Taurus, S&W, Springfield, Rock Island

This is my favorite 1911 grips. I like the looks of different materials for grips. I have bone smooth, bone checkered, wood smooth, wood checkered, aged faux ivory, aged faux stag and now these. I think all these grips give a completely different look. I can’t afford real price for some of these choices. So if you are looking for a great price for a decent faux ivory bark grip, these fit the bill to a T. They are solid, fit and finish is great and installed easily on my full size 1911. No they are not real and if held next to the real McCoy there are noticeable differences for sure. They still fulfill all my requirements. Glad I pulled the pin on these.

Excellent grips, very realistic looking and perfect fit! Highly recommended. Why pay $100s for real stag when these are available for a good and fair price.

These look better on screen than they do irl.I will keep them b/c I do like them.I have the army green base/half white star and these are wood.The wood is extremely light weight and it's raw paint, no clear coat or gloss... maybe I need to do that myself.If I were to take this to the range for a day in the sun, I think all the paint will wear off (in one day) or be severely faded.The smoothness is probably not ideal too yet they do look great on a tisas tank commander.These did come in a very nice, gift worthy box like jewelry would be in... plus a good shipping box protection. These grips were not damaged in delivery and are as good as they can be.I did expect them to be at least varnished and sealed as when I wiped them down with a wet napkin, the green pain came off a little bit... so, I will need to seal them up before any usage.I also wish I knew the type of wood its on... feels like balsa, wish it was mahogany or ironwood...(or acrylic)It does perfectly fit the tisas tank commander yet they seem completely unfinished (as even the bottom and top edges are not painted or treated... so moisture or water will not be good and being in a sweaty hand will also not be good.I'd say if you're not into building your own, and like the style, get them and then also buy some wood and paint sealer, and maybe more green paint for the top edges and stain for the back side and screw holes...

These are nice grips and if you are wanting to resemble Walt Longmire- these won’t disappoint. These are thin grips, and textured enough to mimic the grip factor on factory checkered grips. The only improvement would be to add a groove near the mag release, for those with small hands. Many have commented and asked if these are real stag. For the price I’m happy with fit, finish, and functionality.
