This thing is awesome. I had a damaged macbook air beyond repair but was able to salvage the SSD.Easy to install, people here exaggerate and whine too much. Yes, they could of used different screws but oh well, if you have a kit with T# bits, you'll be fine, I used a T5 at top and T6 at the bottom, they come right off. It's a one time thing you do so whatever. The minor annoyance is worth the performance.Did I say performance? yep. Blackmagic clocking in reads around 380mb/s and writes well up in 450mb/s. outstanding. I'm going to keep a coiuple virtual machines on this thing.And btw, if you feel your drive is not giving you good speeds, do a secure erase (not a wipe with zero's, not the same). I use PartedMagic boot disc (usb). Resets in seconds (secure erases).

IMPORTANT NOTE: (NOT FOUND ANYWHERE ON AMAZON) The OWC Envoy enclosure has been specifically designed for use ONLY with the factory SSD originally installed in apple macbook air 2010-2012 models. the above statement would have saved me money had it been post anywhere on amazon or in a review. the SSD after 2012 are different in size and shape and the pin adaptor has also change not allowing you to connect later models and their SSD's to this Envoy. Im pretty sure i need the OWC Envoy Pro for my liquid damaged LATE 2014 Macbook Air 13.3" SSD. Basically if you have a Macbook Air 2010-2012 SSD this is for you everybody else please save your money and go else where.Packaging good, comes with usb wire to connect to computer, manual and IMPORTANT NOTICE, which in my opinion should be posted somewhere on amazon.
