Made all the difference.
This is a big bag of uniformly large plump pods with full aroma. Have used twice now in Pho broth recipe with excellent results. One pod, along with the other usual spices, gave a big pot of broth that signature Pho flavor. This bag will keep me in delicious homemade Pho for a long time. Thank you!

Hard to find Chinese Black Cardamom
I use these to make Szechuan Chili Oil. The smell and taste is very different from other types of Cardamom. This has a pungent, astringent smell and take that goes very well with savory Szechuan recipes.

Too hard, not good at all.
Can't eat them, too hard. I don't think I can open the pod with pliers. No, had to use a hammer. Not going to eat them. Not able to return or get a refund.

Made in China
Thought I was buying a product grown in India or South America and packaged in Texas. Guess I should've zoomed in on the picture of the back of the package, where it does show that it is made in China. The aroma, flavor and fresh was were fine. I just prefer not to use produce from China.
