CURLSMITH - Curl Defining Styling Soufflé - Vegan Medium Hold Styling Gel for Wavy, Curly and Coily Hair (2oz) Trial or Travel Size

I read the reviews and gave it a try. Why the hell not? I've spent a FORTUNE over the years looking for the "one" product that actually works. This is it! It has a pleasant smell, very mild, and its not sticky at all, a nice kind of slick texture. I wash, then spray my hair wet again, apply leave in conditioner & squish, then I apply the styling souffle by Curlsmith and again squish, squish and curl shapes start. I let is mostly air dry and then squish curls w/my dryer and then an under the hair shake out. OMG... my curls are defined and it really takes down the frizz level. AND.... throughout the day I have to walk between different locations and usually come back a bit frizzy. I just get my hands wet, slide them over my curls, and the frizz is gone and stays gone!!! I've always done this to reactivate the product and it worked for a while but frizzed up again. Not now... the curls are nicely shaped, defined and pretty much frizz free. I HIGHLY recommend you just buy the small size to try it out. I know not every product works with everyones curl type, but this one is just amazing and I've tried soooooooooooooooo many... serum, mousse, cream, gel and more. If you've got curly hair I know you have too. I'd start with this styling souffle. I just got the spray curl reactivator and morning just hand dampened my hair, sprayed it in and added a very light touch of the styling souffle and curls look pretty damn good without the air fluff, etc. Enjoy my curly sisters and brothers!!!

I have searched high and low for a product that my hair will tolerate. I was very discouraged for many year trying popular brands with different methods and not getting the results I was looking for. I bought this on a whim and will be a forever customer. My curls have never looked better.I have 3c curly hair; it’s a bit finer but I have A LOT of it. It is very dry, does not like heavy products or oils, and will get buildup easily because it doesn’t absorb products well.That is not the case with this magic soufflé.I will section fully wet hair into two parts and use around a tablespoon’s worth of this product on each side. I run it through my ends, work it up towards the roots but do not apply on my scalp. I will smooth the curls between my hands in a prayer motion and then scrunch them in my palm and upwards towards my scalp. I flip my head upside down, carefully fluff up my roots with my fingers and scrunch again. I diffuse on the warm low setting for around 20-30 minutes until it’s about 80% dry and then use the cool high setting to finish drying. The results are incredibly defined but soft-to-the-touch curls. No gel, no mousse. No custard or serum; just this product.Never in my life has my hair felt so airy and light. 2nd and 3rd days curls look great too and keep their definition well; I just do a little spritz of water to wake them back up. I am so happy and feel a huge weight off my shoulders knowing I have found a product that works so well for me. I will never stop recommending it and will be gifting it to curly friends and family so they can get in on the magic.

definitely good quality. its very good at holding the curls. the product is very small for the amount of money you pay. it’s good, but never pay that much money for this tiny thing.

Love this product but hate the size/price.For reference, I have 3A/3B curls and my hair styling philosophy is "Anything that takes more than 10 minutes of effort on my part is too much."How I use it: While my hair is still wet, I flip my hair upside down, apply the product to my hair (A little goes a long way) making sure to follow the instructions exactly, air dry and mentally plead with my hair to cooperate for the day. The souffle does leave my hair a bit crunchy but I don't mind and after shaking my hair out (upside-down), my hair consistently comes out defined, bouncy and full-looking. I've gotten a LOT of compliments whenever I use this product.The only con is the size & price. While a little does go a long way (I bought this product in November and am just now running out in April), it's still $12 for 2 ounces. I would love to buy the bigger versions but I like the squeeze tube packaging and don't want to have to dip by fingers in a jar or pay over $50 for the largest size.Other than that, I highly recommend starting off with the smallest size and seeing if it works for you.

This gel is very light weight, dries quicker compared to the Pillow soft curls gel i was using before and it smells so good!! it leaves a cast obv since its for curly hair, but after i scrunch the cast with a drop of oil my hair looks shiny and my curls stay in place and have little to no frizz. I love this gel!!

I have tried so many curl gels/creams and this by far is the best. I know it's pricey but it's worth it.I have curly hair that likes to be frizzy, this tamed the frize and brought out the curl and I highly recommend it.

Awful!!Hair was so Crunchy and greasy I had to wash my hair after using it!!!! After all of the great reviews I was shocked because I thought I was going to find this great new product.. this is way too expensive and just looks awful in your hair I didn't even use that much just a tiny bit and I didn't mix it with any other product because I wanted to see how it looked by itself.... this is a definite hell no for me
