Use this blade to groom my 2 40lbs Golden Doodles.

We use these #5 gap tooth clipper blades on our Schnauzers and find them to be perfect. They slip quickly under the second heavy coat and very comfortably and smoothly shear through the heavy coat, very quick. They save time as compared to finished cut clippers and the results very favorable. I have read reviews that caution users to be more careful with the gap tooth blades,. But really I find them to be safe, if we use any clipper blades improperly or carelessly in tight areas it's possible to pinch you pet's skin. I would recommend these blades without reservations.

I have 6 schnauzers - 4 standards, 1 mini, and 1 giant. I was really struggling to find the right blade to get through their thick coats with my brand new Andis clippers. This blade finally does the trick for everything but their butts and eyebrows. Very happy! I got lazy once and didn't bathe them first - still cut like butter!

My wife and I use these blades to "shear down" our Miniature Schnauzers before bathing and grooming with shorter blades in the Summer. The amount of hair we remove makes it a lot easier to bathe the dogs and takes a lot less shampoo. The blades seem to hold up well to our trimming of dirty dogs and don't have any problems. Also in the Winter we will use these to knock off the longest growth, yet let them keep some hair so as not to be cold.We use Amazon for most of our purchases and I update my reviews if anything changes with the products.
