You might be thinking, I need a metal drain pan because it is more “sturdy”. But when you’re jockeying with a 50 gallon water heater in sometimes a small location like a closet, that non-flexibility can prove to be a curse instead of a blessing. The flexibility on the edge of the pan allows you to tip the tank forward or even backward, get the pan’s lip started under the tank, and then walk it into the drain pan without having to “lift” the tank to get it into the pan. And once it’s in the pan, the finish on the surface of the pan allows you to center the tank in the pan. I was very satisfied with this purchase.

I bought this to put under a 200lb live plant my mother got me for Christmas. I can now safely water my plant and I don’t have to worry about the wood floors. Also- a new 24” pot was going to cost me hundreds- so this thing saved me money. It did crack while trying to shove it under the plant- it’s pretty flimsy- but it still does it’s job. It also arrived way earlier than expected.

I have been looking for a large water "dish" for my Sulcata tortoise to climb in that he wouldn't destroy. This is perfect. I had to add a couple fittings to seal the drain and it's perfect .He is just over 50 lbs and a he has some extra room..lol probably not the review of use you were looking for. But it's durable and flexible Tortoise approved 👍🐢

Product arrived cracked and unusable. I didn't notice this until after the return date window had expired. If it was not cracked, the pan looks fine.

It had a crack in the pan where the drain pipe is supposed to fit and the adapter to connect the pan to the drain pipe was missing. Had to scramble to get a replacement from the local hardware store.
