It's a wired headset. So, the range is as long as the wire ... which is kinda short.

Q: Does the microphone work with a smartphone? I have seen some sets that it doesn't work when used with smartphones.

Hello. I can confirm that with my personal set of 80 MS the microphone does work and sounds great from what I've been told. I'll have to try with the test Galaxy S6 tomorrow morning if you can wait on the answer for that. It theoretically should work without issue. Thanks!

I have bought these some time ago. I have a very noisy work place so for me is very important to avoid the background noise and good quality on voice, what I can say is that the headsets are fine, comfortable, those have a nice integration with Skype(I'm Mac user, works fine) but, in my case I was expecting more, these are not good enough. Eg: People in the other side can still hear some background noise specially when I'm talking, the other issue is that the active cancellation is not complete, you may hear a lot of background. For me the biggest downside is the hardware quality, because seems to be fragile, specially if you have to commute(which used to be my case). I'm still looking for best headsets... good luck!!!

Q: How does this work with citrix goto meeting and microsoft skype?

Personally, I have used it for Citrix Goto Webinar and many Skype appointments and love it for that purpose. Comfortable for hour-after-hour wearing and have never gotten complaints about the sound. Have also conducted trainings using Vsee. I came away from my purchase feeling that they are very expensive, and for me very worth it.
