I purchased these as stools to put under the overhang around my island in the kitchen. The photos online looked great so I thought I'd give it a shot. I've had them for a while now and they've been used by just about everyone who's come to visit, from young kids to my pretty extra large-sized brother. With my previous stools, after a while, I'd have to tighten up the bolts/screws pretty frequently as the whole stool would start to get loose at the joints. These don't do that. Like I said, everyone has sat on them, they can hold up a lot of weight and don't fall apart from a wiggly kid sitting on them. I assembled them myself, and they were very easy to assemble. The wood is hard, make sure to use a drill with a little bit torque to work the screws in, but not enough to strip or crack the wood. I wouldn't recommend a hand screw driver unless you're strong. They are good quality and they look very nice. I don't have any complaints. Should one break for some reason, I wouldn't hesitate to buy more.

These bar stools arrived on time on the same day and were packaged perfectly. The assembly took my husband and I about 45 minutes for both. The seats are incredibly soft and nice looking. The nail heads are such a classic look. The stools are just gorgeous and the price for two was phenomenal. The only thing to note is that you really do need to do the "drop test" as instructed in the assembly directions or it will be unlevel and wobbly. We didn't understand at first and ignored that step. So, as you assemble the stool, do not tighten the screws/bolts all the way. After you've put them all in part way, pick up the stool several inches from the floor and drop the stool onto the legs/feet. That will level everything. Then go ahead and tighten all the screws/bolts.

For starters, they arrive fully assembled! This is wonderful, nothing to put together, just pull them out of the shipping box and pull off the plastic. However, that said be careful and inspect your delivery. The first set of these I bought arrived with one damaged (one leg was splintered and split). There's no spacers between the legs in the box, and so any impact could cause damage. Finally having both and placing them under a small pub table, I'm fairly happy with them. They seem fairly sturdy in construction, except for the compressed cardboard backing of the cushion itself. I'm not sure if it'll hold up, but we'll see. Another concern I have is that I use mine on carpet, and the balance doesn't feel all that secure - if feels like I could easily lean to grab something and fall in one direction. And lastly, the cross braces are near the bottoms of the legs, making it difficult to completely shove these under my clawfoot pub table without the braces bumping the clawfeet of the table. They look nice and they serve a purpose. I'm not sure I would buy them for daily use, but they work on a pub table in my basement that gets use when company is around.

I've been looking for a pair of replacement kitchen stools for a while (literally a year), and I happened to see these at a very reasonable price (under $50). I opted to go with the used, but very good condition option. The shipment was very fast and I could tell that the product was well made, due to the package weight. Although the stools were labeled as good condition, they were very well packaged. The assembly directions were easy to follow and straight forward - the package came with all of the bolts and hex tool. There was a slight blemish on one of the stool legs (it was used so that's okay), but it was hardly noticeable. The seat is quality - good material, wide, comfy, and fits perfectly at my kitchen counter bar. Great buy and very comparable to the pricier stool sets.

Very happy with my purchase of the pair of 30 inch high stools. The scored lines on the wood, the brass nailheads and and curved seats make these stools comfortable and elegant. These are substantial and sturdy stools and I am pleased with this purchase. I read another review complaining that it was "wobbly and not sturdy." Well, you need to follow the instructions closely, read them before you start. I will suggest you tighten the screws to the legs first by hand, so you can move them to insert the long and short stretches and attach them to the legs before you tighten the legs screws and before you check that it aligns perfectly to the seat. I am a 72 yr old female with arthritis and was able to do it by myself without any help and the stools are firm and sturdy solid and not wobbly at all.

They were very nice. Very thick padded seat. Looked great. Fairly easy to assemble. Make sure to order the correct height. I ordered the bar height for a counter height table. So obviously they were to tall. Didnt realized untill after assembling.

I ordered these to replace larger, high-backed barstools. There were similar ones available that were less expensive, but they all had to be assembled, and the reviews were sketchy. I ended up ordering these based on mostly positive reviews and that they required no assembly. They just came today, and I am very happy with the look of them. They seems well-made and are very sturdy. I had some initial concerns about the stability of these since they are quite tall (over 30") but narrow. However, they don't wobble at all nor seem able to topple easily. I like that you can either sit on them the "right" way or straddle them, which I like to do. Since they are backless, they fit snugly under my kitchen bar counter and are out of the way of foot traffic. My only concern is the longevity of the self-described "faux" leather padding and seats. If they hold up well over time, I will be very pleased. The plastic feet on these caused the stools to slip on my wood floors, but I replaced the plastic with stick-on felt and they no longer slide when I try to sit down.

They cool expensive and beautiful. The kitchen looks upgraded with thise 2 bar stool. The leather looks real and the chair is strong. Worth the money

Its very good quality of wood. We order 3 pairs of these bar stool. Sometimes it would be ruined from shipment.

Do not buy!! The bar stool foot rest broke within a couple days. Complete garbage, I only weigh 135lbs, while sitting I put my one foot on the foot rest to adjust my seating and it snapped with barely any weight on it. No one in the family wants to use the single chair that's left, in case it breaks as they weigh 180-200lbs.
