This is the only deer repellent that actually works. I put the capsules in small cup-like containers, fill with water and put them about every 6 feet around my yard and flower beds. That way the gel doesn't dry out too quickly and it is easy to keep the gel wet by putting more water on it as needed. All other repellents such as ones you tie on the plants and sonic/flashing lights don't deter deer.

This product did not work for the deer where we live. It was like an invitation to come and devour all of my flowers. I tried using this product in several places in our yard, but we have a small yard and the deer come around during the night. Sometimes they are brazen enough to come out during the day. When I see them, they look at me as if to say is that all you’re going to do, like they’re laughing. Then they come back during the night and eat up all my flowers and plants.

It is difficult to tell if this product works--so far no deer where we have put it---but there have been few deer at this point in time. I DO wonder what the "life" of the deterrent effect is after a month or so; that is not clear on the directions---put more down or what? Still see remnants of what is there-- is it still "working"? More information in product would be helpful. How often to put out, etc.

I've had a very good experience with this product. I've tried other products over the last 4 yrs. with very limited success. I live in a wooded area in northern MI. Many deer around. The previous owners of the house planted a row of daylillies down the entire length of the house and each year the deer would eat every flower/bud. I was lucky if I got to see one flower/bud before it was devoured the next day. This year, I had flowers all year long and never saw any evidence of the deer eating them. I will be ordering this product every year.

I bought these based on mention of this product in a magazine. I normally use this foul, I guess predator urine spray. I wander around the yard, spraying, and the deer leave it alone. Everything smells terrible, and I fear I got some on me, and smell that way... but it works. I saw these pills, thought I would try them. The pills get wet, and turn into a large blob of gel, so I see it there among the plants. I guess I have a few brave deer...? I wound up spraying the original foul smelling stuff again, once the deer started eating leaves off my new apple tree.

I was very please with this product. Our Spring Garden was being eaten by Deer. How do I know, because I put out a camera and took night photos of them eating my Cucumbers and other items. When I received the product, I put it around my garden about 6 - 8 feet apart and the Garden look great now. No sign of Deer and No night pictures of deer yet. It helped in my Garden in Gibsonville, NC.

Giving this deterent to repel deer a try. Most others offered are terribly smelly or need reapplying after a rain. I will use these in combination with other non toxic repellents to discourage the deer to feast elsewhere !! We'll see............

Be forewarned...by the time you figure out these little pellets don't work, Amazon's product-return window has shut! I used these as directed at the sight of first bloom only to discover two weeks too late that they don't work!!! Not expensive, but not effective either. I tried to explain to Amazon that they should take into consider the length of time needed to determine whether or not a product actually works. (This problem has happened to me before with a scar gel requiring 10 weeks to see results) Amazon, of course, graciously refunded my money, but I wasn't able to get across to the customer service rep that the return policy is the real issue!
