If you don't mind having a huge protruding dongle hanging out of the bottom of your phone then you may not mind this. The magnet holds great, but the protruding dongle defeats the purpose. The whole idea of having a cable like this is to add a quick break away cable that will protect your device if its yanked. I can't help but worry that the dongle will cause just as much damage if it gets dropped just the right way. It could damage the port. In order for this thing to be useful you need to be able to leave it in at all times, but the dongle makes this a no go. If they made the dongle that was almost flush with the device when it is installed it would be perfect.

I tried to use this charger, and I really really wanted it to work well. It just sticks out too far and could very well cause damage to the charging port by being easily snagged on clothing. The magnet part works, almost too well. It will rip the charger out of the port unless pulled at an angle, which I'm concerned would be causing unwelcome flex on the charging port and related logic board and connections. The charger is just that, a charger, and won't allow for data transfer either, as to be expected. The charging that it does allow is very slow, as well. Good concept, still needs more development and maybe advancements in technology.

Works for my needs.Charge (with rapid charging) and data transfer. I use this cable on my Nexus 6P with usb type-c. Works great. The tip connector connects to the cable with the magnets it has and it's pretty strong. Pull enough to disconnect. I do hope they come out with more or some kind of revision where the connector end on the phone is more flushed and hidden and not sticking out of my phone. But it's doing it's job now and I am enjoying the use of magnetic charging especially when in my truck. Makes connection much more useful for me in my truck.

Great idea but it sticks out way too far on my phone to leave it in all the time which is why I wanted it. It would be perfect if it were more compact however as it is now I have to return it as it will not work for me.

After trying a few different types of magnetic chargers this one is the best so far. Magnet is very strong and still detaches easily when broken off sideways. Time will tell if it holds up but I honestly don't think it will fall apart. Feels very solid compared to the others I've tried.

Welp it broke and I'm pretty sure it is cause of how far it sticks out on the type c charger it broke right at the charging port it popped right out of the housing

Enjoyed using USB type B connector and now tried for type C. Apparently type C connector protrude even more than type B. Wonder why.. other than that it does what it says.

awesome, the magsafe is back! The magnet is way stronger than the Griffin Safebreak. Great product!
