While this 22 lb. scale is relatively easy to measure to 1/4 lb., my 11 lb. Taylor measures to the ounce, and my lab grade beam balance scale is accurate to 1/10 gram ( 0.003527 oz ).Taylor scales also measure in metric which is much more functional for recipe scaling and is the measurement that most of the civilized world uses anyway 😎 allowing you to download awesome international recipes ( almost always exclusively metric ) and follow the ingredients list without resorting to a calculator 🤪Kitchens are funny work areas. I use it to weigh the food portions i serve for my small business. It does the job but not as precise as I need. The cleaning is easy with the removable top plate. Easy to store. No batteries needed. Looks neat but don't trust the weight. If you remove the portion and place it back on, the weight will vary 2 out of 3 times.

This item is very cheaply made and will not zero. When used, the dial returns to random settings resulting in inaccurate measurements.
