Pretty good! I like the green. They fees robust. The led works good. But the red light seems to only turn on during SOS mode? I guess that’s what it was designed for.It’s got some nice extra features that I haven’t seen on walkies before; but also these are pricier than what I’m used to.Put them in an old drill case so they look nice.

These G9 waterproof walkie-talkies are great for outdoor trips. They have a good range, clear sound, and even float in water, which is perfect for camping or boating. Not comparable to very high-end sets but for normal use, these are good- The battery lasts for multiple days and I am satisfied with it- Rugged design and made to last outdoors- Comes in nice packaging and can be considered as a gift as well- Reasonably priced for the quality and the soundThings that need improvement:- Nothing for nowOverall take: I am happy to have these and for the price would recommend these as well to any family.

We used these on a ski trip to Snowshoe and my son set the channel to a low watt channel so I can't say how well they will work when on the 2W channel instead. On the 0.5W reception was diminished by the terrain and trees. The battery easily lasted from 9am to 9pm. Ear pieces worked for me but the boys didn't use them. So far have not picked up anyone using the same private code.

I got these for a week long trip we took to Big Bend Texas. Trip agenda included hiking, long trail walking, kayaking, camping overnight and more. It's important for us to have service but out in the middle of nowhere there is none no matter who your service provider is so these devices were the best gift I could've ever gotten myself and family. We did drop them once or twice at the begging of our hike but we quickly resorted to the hands free plug ins and that was the end of dropping the devices. Also I'd like to point out how well they are made, very sturdy feel and rugged all around I would like to say close to military grade.Once they arrived they were very easy to use right out of the box, pop in the batteries plug in your bases and go to the instruction manual to learn about the basic and key features. When we got back home from out camping week trip I continued to use these DAILY! I put one in each of my sons rooms upstairs and I no longer have to yell out their names from downstairs to come down when food is ready or come get the laundry etc. the day to day functions are now well communicated through this device.

These are good units but there are some things that drive me nuts. The display always turns off to save battery. I think this is by default but it makes me mad. You never know if the units are on or off. My kids have already left them on many times and the batteries die. Why can't I change this feature so the display stays on at all times? The off button is very fickle. I have held down the button for 20 seconds and the device never goes off. Again my kids do this and then the batteries die. Very disappointed in the items. Wish I could return.

I bought this for my son and it’s honestly the best bang for my buck. It’s affordable and very well worth it. It doesn’t feel cheap and the radio function is pretty good for the long distance. The battery life is pretty good but I haven’t done a time test yet.
