I am a big fan of the Riedel wine glasses and have purchased 2 different styles. They are elegantly simple and the glass/crystal is durable but not thick. Be sure to check the height is compatible with your cupboard space. I like that they can be washed in the dishwasher as it gives them that nice crisp clean. they have been washed many times and the glass remains clear and shiny.

While it's true that you can get decent glasses for cheaper, they can't approach the experience of drinking a great Bordeaux inspired wine out of a glass that's designed specifically to enhance the experience is something that other offerings just can't match.I have Riedel Sommelier glasses, which are hand blown lead crystal but they're very expensive and very fragile so I don't feel comfortable using them every day. These Vinum series Bordeaux glasses are a great everyday solution. Lead crystal, formed to enhance specific qualities in the wines I love the most but machine blown and more sturdy.And I'll tell you a little secret: unless you're dealing with a hardcore wine snob, most people will be just as blown away by these as they are by the much more expensive Sommelier versions. Personally, I prefer not to drink wine with people who use words like "precocious" to describe wine, I'd much rather enjoy wine with people who can just appreciate it for what it is and what it does in their mouth.These glasses are perfect for 99% of your wine drinking (of you're drinking big reds) and I'm pretty sure most people will get more enjoyment out of them than their more expensive cousins.Salute!

These are beautiful and a joy to sip from, also merely to hold in the hand. They seem to have the perfect shape for a variety of wines and I've happily had champagne from them as well. They are more petite than the popular larger sizes for Chardonnays and Pinot noir, yet lovely for all uses. The shape, grace, weight, and feel of these truly sets them apart. Exquisite.

Reidel is Reidel, expensive but excellent, and worth it! I've been drinking for a long time, and I've come to the conclusion that you either drink out of Reidel , or you slurp it out the bottle.

Wow, just wow! For years I had the Robert Mondavi Cabernet glasses by Waterford Crystal and didn't think there was any way in the word those could be topped. Well, I ended up breaking both of them (sadly!) and happened upon these majestic beauties. Five words for that: I should've broken the other ones sooner!There is a method to handling crystal glasses and most of you already know all of that. Suffice it to say that if you don't torque on the stem or base whilst washing and use two towels to dry, you should be golden.I bought four of these glasses weeks ago and I am still using the first glass I took out of the box and I drink every night, so there. (knocks on wood!) .EDIT: February 5, 2022.I came back to this review because I'm buying a pair for a friend. These beauties are still holding up wonderfully without any issues. They are wine royalty in every sense of the word!

What do you want, they're Riedel!I've been drinking from Riedel glasses for years. I clumsily tipped one over and to the floor. Yes the stem shattered, but I was able to fill the bowl and finish my martini.Now I have two more. These are a shot larger than the one I broke. All the better.

I do not know who at Amazon boxed these fragile wine glasses, but it is a miracle they arrived unbroken. The glasses are somewhat protected inside the red and black Riedel box. That box was then placed in a much larger box with absolutely no packing materials around it. This allowed the Riedel box to slide all around freely. The shipping box was not taped that well nor was it marked “fragile”. Luckily the glasses appear unscathed and will make a lovely gift.

These are the best Martini glasses! They are light and large!
