Excellent quality.. our cats (3) LOVE it! Glad we tried it.
We rescued 3 kittens from the woods before a big snow..and now we have 3 kittens lol. With 3 kittens they have different tastes but there is one thing they all agree on.. it’s Meow Chicken and Salmon freeze dried food! 😅 they have firm poop and silky coats. I wanted a healthy food so they have less health issues. Excellent quality food and as for the crushed pieces in the bag.. that suits us we crumble it all anyways. Our cats LOVE it! They love the brush tail also. Excellent food. Worth every penny!

My kitties love these!
One of my cats is going through a MAJOR picky eater phase so I reached out to one of my cat Facebook groups for a good food topper. Someone recommended these so I gave them a try. He loves them and I gave some to my other kitty and he loved them too. Win win!

Ok
It's a large dry kiblet. One cat will usually eat. ..the other it's a no go.

Need improvement!
Two of my kitties gobbled up this food only to vomit all. I buy “meat mates”, also from New Zealand, and it’s a thumbs up. This food crumbles very easily ( I don’t believe mixing up chicken with salmon helps). Now I am mixing up the crumbs with canned food for the outside cats. The ingredients look good but needs taste improvement. I also don’t believe cats go for green lipped mussels….

Winner!!
One of our cats is allergic to a lot of things, the result being eosinophilic granulomas around her mouth and chin, and other skin issues. She’s been on a prescription novel protein diet of rabbit almost her whole life, but has recently become disinterested in the wet and dry food.We talked in depth with our vet about alternatives, and they suggested kangaroo or alligator. Unfortunately, kangaroo isn’t available in California, and the novel protein alligator foods are a bit hard to get (often out of stock).I am aware that Brushtail Possums are a feral pest in NZ, (as are certain species of kangaroo/wallaby, for that matter), and we agreed this may be a good alternative to try.Well, success!! We have been trialing tiny amounts for the last week, and she LOVES it so much! I intend on increasing her amounts as I become certain there are no side effects. This appears to be consistently good quality ingredients, versatile as treats or meals, and goes a long way. For the content quality, it is worth the price, especially against other prescription diet costs!
