The Mysterious Islands

Very educational
I didnt buy this movie for entertainment purposes. I bought it for the educational purpose of reviewing Darwinism from a creation science view and for that it more than delivered. Each point is explained well and easly understood. I can only pray that the money i paid for this is somehow making back to the individuals who made this movie. Either way i am supporting the Institute for Christian Research and donating on their website.

Beautiful movie, well thought-out and presented
The argument generated by Charles Darwin that led to his theory of evolution is conclusively refuted in this video. More than a documentary, this video was filmed in the Galápagos Islands which is where Charles Darwin first began development of his evolution theory 200 years earlier. The animals that Darwin saw are the same ones that Doug Philips and crew saw, but the conclusions are vastly different. Both Darwin and Philips saw variations of animals at the Galápagos as being somewhat similar to but in some ways different from animals from other parts of the world. Both Darwin and Philips agree that some sort of change process has taken place that allows these differences to appear.Darwin jumped to the conclusion that this change process is one that goes from the least form of animal life to the most complex. We know this today as evolution, one species evolving into another species.Philips, on the other hand, uses the Bible to demonstrate how the change process is limited to animal kinds (cats versus dogs) and does not cross over from one kind to another. Therefore, to Darwin, it is natural to think that the whale evolved from the pig, whereas to Philips, the pig and whale are two different kinds of animal without any evidence that one came from the other. To Philips, he convincingly presents in this video a theory that is consistent with the Bible as well as modern science: each animal kind adapts to the environment through the complex DNA structure that is within each animal. Dogs change to additional types of dogs, but they are still dogs. The video was beautiful to see, showing some most inspiring photography of animal and plant life in the Galápagos Islands. My only criticism is that towards the end of the movie, he went after Planned Parenthood, exposing this fetus killing group whose genocide agenda is rooted in Darwin's superiority of race theory. I felt that he could have stopped with the exposure of the Darwin falacy without attacking Planned Parenthood or its leaders. If you stop the video when it gets to that part, you would be seeing what is to me a five-star rating. Unfortunately I had to give this a four-star rating because of that ending.Tom Clarke, Author of "A Garden of Love" A Garden of Love

Important Views Regarding Darwinism
Good documentary that kept our attention and adds clarity to the mistaken worldly view that one species can magically turn into another species. We visited the Galapagos after seeing this documentary and they did a good job capturing its essence.

One of the best video purchase I have ever made!
I love this video for it’s quality and content! It is very inlightening and a perfect apologetic tool for families to have in learning the truth behind the holes in Darwin's theory of evolution. A must watch! 5 Big Stars!!

Not worth watching
A disappointing film. Although the cinematography was well done, It was slow moving and said little about why evolution is a flawedtheory, and almost nothing to show that God created the earth and life on it.The volume of the music was often too loud to hear people talking. The father, who was the narrator, took too long to make his points. It was tiresome to listen to him at times.Except for the filming of the animals there's little reason to watch this movie.

Delightful Movie-Stunning Footage
I bought this DVD to show my homeschool high school co-op class. We had been studying evolution from a Christian perspective and this movie had been recommended. It was a delightful way to tie everything together, with gorgeous footage of the animals on Galapagos, and narrative that did a great job stepping through the flaws in Darwin's theory. Highly recommended!

Religious extremist propaganda
Any person who is not a religious extremist will be offended by this DVDs anti science propaganda as well as the twisted bible interpretations which claim that man has been tasked with killing all animals to prove their "dominion" over the earth. If you believe that mankind should not use science, technology, medicine or intelligence to improve the world or relieve suffering, this DVD is for you.
