If you need to repair the USB Type A end of a botched USB cable, like I was, then these parts will get the job done nicely. The only issue I had was soldering them, but this is typical when you are working with tiny AWG wires. This is no fault of the product, just the nature of the job and fair warning. The shells fit great, and as others have pointed out they won't stay snapped together very well. The solutions are to use large heat shrink tubing shrunk around the entire shell or just glue them together. I did the former. Easiest thing in the world if you have heat shrink that large floating around.

These type A USB connectors are easy to assemble. Keep in mind you'll need a fine point soldering iron to attach the wires. I recommend them to anyone who is able to do the necessary soldering.
