Where are the "imported ingredients" from?

There are no imported ingredients in this product - this is just a boilerplate line that's used. This product only has one ingredient: naturally harvested California sea salt that is then smoked over alderwood chips.

How coarse is this? I need something for margaritas.

Does the smokiness of the salt fade over time?

It shouldn't - the only ingredient is salt, we just cold smoke Pacific sea salt over alderwood to get the color and flavor. It's a natural product that we craft in small batches so there may be very minor differences from batch to batch, but the natural intensity of the flavor is a constant.
