Years ago I started using cloth napkins to cut down on using paper products and elevate our meals. It's just my husband and myself so unless it's a particularly messy meal, or you are sick these can be used more than once---unlike paper products. I used to buy them at Pier 1 which had great cotton napkins that lasted years. Unfortunately, they are no longer in business and I have been searching for replacements at a good price. These napkins did not disappoint! The pattern is beautiful and doesn't show stains. Initially, they were not very soft and had a chemical-like odor but one wash took care of that. The odor disappeared and they are much softer now and I expect these napkins will get softer over time as good cotton does. They are absorbent and as they are 100% cotton they feel nice on your skin and don't "slide" over your face like synthetics do. The cotton feels of good quality and after several washes, there is no shrinkage or fading. I wash them along with kitchen and bath towels, fold them right out of the dryer and they look great. No need to iron. I will be ordering some different patterns and some holiday napkins now that I know how good these are. They are better than the Peir 1 napkins I used to buy! I got these on sale during Prime Day but the regular price is a good value in my opinion as I expect these to last a very long time. Very happy with my purchase!
