My children and husband have thoroughly enjoyed readying. It's well written and puts all of those well know Arthurian legends (plus some we'd never heard of into one book!) It's been read and read again! Would certainly recommend to other Michael Morpurgo or Arthurian fans

Brilliant Michael Morpurgo book! My children and husband have thoroughly enjoyed readying. Great story on two cassettes, but the ending leaves one hanging. I'm wondering if there are other stories that come after this that are part of this same storyline...?

An excellent retelling of all the King Arthur stories, as told by an elderly Arthur to a young boy. The hardback is printed on nice heavy paper and would make an excellent gift. My Year 4 (8-9 year old) daughter was sufficiently keen on this to bring it in to school as her reading book, impressing the teacher enough remark upon how advanced her reading was. All round, this book is a keeper for the next generation in 20-30 years time.
