Powers of 2 clock
The clock is a great conversational piece in addition to being very functional. There area several features I really like about the clock. One if the fact that you can operate the clock in either 12 hour or 24 hour mode. Personally, I hate 12 hour mode and have made plenty of mistakes with alarm clocks, VCR's and such setting the wrong "M".It is great the clock can be set in either simple binary or true binary mode. Either is just as easy to read and is just the difference of whether you perfer simple 8-bit or 16-bit type operation. Half of the fun it watching the patterns develop in the dots. It can be mezmorizing actually. Most interesting is watching the shift from 23:59:59: to 00:00:00, it is so cool to see the entire clock blackout for the one second before starting the next day.A worthwhile purchase for both converstation as well as accuracy. It keeps perfect time and for those of us that are "nerds" anyway, it is absolutely perfect!

Compact, eye-catching, conversation-starting clock
I'm a geek; I have wanted a binary clock for literally decades. This is the first one I've seen that I decided to buy. It's compact and eye-catching, so I brought it to work as a conversation-starter when I began a new job. It worked! People ask questions about it all the time, and I'm building relationships with the people whose work I coordinate but who do not report to me. Oh, and it's a good clock too! I refer to it often: it's good cognitive exercise to quickly add the values and tell what time it is. Enjoy!

Great clock, would be better if it came with a universal power supply
Great clock, needs a new power supply if shipping internationally

Drive your friends nuts.
Had I not taken a binary math course in college I wouldn't have know what a binary clock was the first time I saw one. This unit is a nice size for a desk clock. It has four modes, regular or miliraty time, and you can select either vertical or horizontal operation. You cange either with the press of a button. Put two side by side, never in the same mode, and change the modes each day. Just tell people it's a clock. When they ask the obvious question, just tell them it's easy to figure out. Just don't tell them how.

Great clock
Great clock for someone looking for something 'different'. Would have loved for it to be bigger but considering it's mainly just reading LED positioning the size is ok. Has both 12 and 24 hour formats. Also has a true binary mode that changes how the time is displayed. Normal mode uses all 6 columns to show the 2 digit hours, minutes, and seconds and the true binary mode uses the bottom 3 rows to show the hours minutes and seconds. Be warned using this clock will force you to learn something new....but that's not too bad is it?

Don't buy this cheap piece of plastic!
A total piece of junk. Looked cheap and nasty when I took it out of the box and nothing happened when I plugged the damn thing in. No flashing lights - nothing. I am now faced with the problem it will cost me a lot to send it back. It seems the best place is the bin!

Very Clever Toy for Techies
I work in an internet company and I have this clock sitting on my desk. I get a lot of people asking me, "What is that"? I like to see if they can guess. Some figure it out, but most do not. It only takes a few days and you're totally used to it. You ignore the 2 seconds columns and learn to read the hour and minute columns very quickly. This would be a great gift for anyone who loves computers.
