Sunbeam Slumber Rest Velvet Plush Mushroom (Beige) Full Heated Blanket

I am very disappointed with the blanket that I received. It did not come with the remote picture. I specifically picked this blanket for the remote. I wanted a washable blanket with a detachable remote. The remote was the most important part of this purchase. The remote pictured has a digital screen, a preheat button, an automatic shutoff, on/off button, and the plus/minutes buttons to increase and reduce the heat. My remote does have an automatic shutoff after 10 hours, but it does not have a preheat button or digital screen. I have an on/off button and a big knob with a little round peep hole. It appears to have 10 settings (L, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, H), but no preheat. The setting are yellow lit letters and numbers. The knob does not turn very smoothly. The first time I used the blanket I accidentally jerked the plug out of the wall trying to turn the knob. I'm not going to return the blanket at this point, but I am currently online looking for another blanket on non-Amazon sites. Sad thing is that I just got this blanket today and I'm already looking to purchase a replacement tonight. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone interested in the remote pictured.

After having a full size Sunbeam electric blanket for a few weeks I did notice the concerns about the electric wires in the blanket. They did Bunch up at the head of the blanket and the foot of the blanket. Also the blanket moved a lot on the bed. I sent it back and ordered a queen size electric blanket from Sunbeam Corporation. This blanket is made differently than the full-size. The queen size has a nice hem at the top. Also the queen size blanket seems to be thicker than the full size. As you know the queen size has dual controls. It drapes my bed a lot nicer than the full-size did. This seems to be a better product. I was surprised the full size blanket didn't have a nice finished hem at the top of the blanket like the queen size replacement does. I will come back and revisit it and give more feedback after I've had this blanket for a while. I believe the other blanket was defective. So far I have not noticed the wires moving inside the blanket..

This looks great, feels great, and works great. I had bought the Fleece version of this brand, and returned it because it was too flimsy. Am so happy I go this one instead. The plush is thick, feels good to touch, and looks really great - I use it as the top cover. The garnet color is a very nice, rich shade. Controller is nicely designed, works fine. This is little small on the edges - they barely hang down to the mattress edge on a full bed - and I don't have one of those new thick mattresses. The length is fine. I do wish the Low setting was lower. I can't imagine anyone using this above 4. Use 10 if you're in an igloo? I think someone said it sheds. It shed a bit for a week or so, but now it's fine. I use it over a woven cotton coverlet, like all my blankets - there is no problem with it sliding off. Overall, I repeat: This looks great, feels great, and works great.

My wife loves it! We have a king size bed and it nearly covers the entire top of it. I think it would be about a foot short overall, but would be excellent for a full or maybe even queen size. It really heats up. I think the highest we set it on is a 5 and that is perfect. Plus our dogs love the plush velvet, too. They love to snuggle on the bed when it's nice and warm. So far the material and cords are holding up well. No signs of wear and it's been used every night for over a month. So far so good.

I rarely write reviews but am prompted to do so by the absurdly poor design and quality of this blanket. As others have noted, it is 'slippery', to the point where it is unusable. I tried putting it under the matress pad, I tried using the bed 'suspenders', all to no avail. Now, after less than a month of use, there is a flashing error message and it won't work. At this price, I am utterly disappointed in this product. Especially when I recall the Sunbeam blankets of earlier years which lasted almost forever. Maybe I'll try to find one of those on Ebay instead.

This is the nicest electric blanket I have ever owned and I have had many! Even if this blanket was not electric it would be great. It is very some and a good weight...so many are too thin, this one is plush for sure!

Good item. It generates alot of heat in a comfy blanket. Much hotter than my old one. Only bad thing is how it turns off - you only have two options: 1) always on (you have turn it off) and 2) on for ten hours. I really want an option for 2 or 3 hours..

This blanket is very soft, but, despite being underneath another blanket and on the highest setting, it does not heat up very well or consistently. I am disappointed with these results for this price.
