Ooma Telo Free Home Phone Service, White

Happy w/it. I've had a black Telo for years in my home office, but, it was too old to accept these new security apparatus's. I wanted the motion sensor for above my home entry, I placed in on the ceiling. Works great. If someone I'm not expecting gains entry to my place, the alert will, and does, it's job.

I tested this and it works perfectly. It's just the right size and is easily detected by Ooma Home Security app.

We have used Ooma for more than ten years and love it. Our daughter moved to a new city and wanted an inexpensive phone system. Based on our experience, we suggested Ooma and she agreed. We purchased the Ooma Telo for her as a gift and then installed it on moving day.

The system with security and phone service has been working great for me. I've been using it for seven months. Never a false trigger or missed event. I had a few issues at first with it going offline but Ooma keeps updating the software to work out the bugs. I don't have pets so I don't know if they would cause problems with the motion sensor. Ooma has a discussion group that is closely monitored by an expert moderator (Tom) who responds immediately to questions and problems better than any product that I've seen. Update 2/6/19 = System still works great except I'm having battery life problems with one of the motion sensors. I added the first motion sensor and three door sensors (bought from Ooma) to my system in June 2017 and all are still using the original batteries that came with them from Ooma. That motion sensor is in a high traffic are with lots of activations every day. So far that's nearly 20 months on the original batteries. The problem is with a second motion sensor in a low traffic area purchased separately from Amazon about two weeks later. The original CR123A lithium battery lasted 14 months but none of the replacement batteries have lasted more than three weeks. I've tried Energizer, Duracell and other highly rated and expensive batteries. I've asked for assistance or recommendations on replacement batteries on the Ooma discussion group but no response.. Very disappointing. If performance is so variable, I can't recommend a system that requires replacing expensive batteries every two or three weeks. I dropped my five star rating to three star. Update 9/3/2020. Very short battery life (three weeks) problem was on only one motion sensor which must have been defective.. Replaced the sensor and added a third sensor. All have battery life of over a year now and still working.

Excellent does what I wanted it to do. Easy set up. Calls my cell phone when there is motion detected
