Disappointed Purchase - RETURNED ASAP
I hope this review helps future customers looking to purchase this product to get a true experienced review.Received product in a reasonable time and this product visually met expectations due to the cost. I wasn’t expecting high grade German stainless steel surgical grade scalpel blades so I kept my expectations reasonable. As I opened the product I was okay with the scalpel handle that came with the product but noticed the blade end looked roughly machined with somewhat course edges. Removed 1 scalpel blade and inserted the scalpel handle head to find out I couldn’t fully push the blade far enough back get a lock on the blade. It was on enough though (I did disregard safety due to this) for me to review and test the blade. Blade sharpness is a major disappointment!!! You can see the grain of the sharpening and I don’t believe the blades were deburred. Tried cutting the thin plastic covered the box of blades came in and the cutting edge was erratic where it caught a sharp enough edge to cut with. I also noticed how thin the blades were. Far thinner than the surgical blades truly used in the medical field. This blade that was not fully locked in the scalpel handle I tried a little flex and due to the thinness it snapped in half. I gave this product one more chance on a second blade and had the exact same issues with not locking onto the scalpel handle, sharpness and being sturdy. I cannot justify utilizing this product for any application for those reasons. So to conclude, within a couple of hours of receiving this product I decided to return it.Hope this helps.

These blades are not very sharp!!

The handle was a bit too tight to snap in the blade easily
As I said, the blade groove in the handle is very tight and it took ME bit of FORCE to get the blade on. That's a bit scary to do but it's a good scalpel once done.I like the extra weight of the handle compared to plastic throw aways.
