The package says 15 minutes. After we got all her hair saturated, we gave it 20 minutes just to be sure. But you do need to treat again 10 days later. One application didn't do it either time, but twice with the second application 10 days after the first did. Both times she got it at school so maybe she was getting reexposed? Not sure. I just know we had to treat twice.
