Order an more than you think you need. I used a piece of wood, the provided hole pinch and a hammer to punch out the areas I wanted to put the studs in. I used a two part epoxy like a locktite or something and backed the area with gorilla tape. I plan on also lining it with more cloth to cover the tape. They assemble easily, it is time consuming; most of these were done on my lunch break at work. I’m a machinist and I only had a few threading problems, if you run into that just try the screw in another stud and another screw in the first stud. Every stud I ordered was put to use; there are a couple hundred on each shoulder. I’m happy with how they look and the assembly process. Better product than I used 20 years ago to do the same thing.

these studs are exactly as they appear in the pictures, the size is accurate and the material seems to be stainless steel. the tools are helpful and easy to use.

Love the studs , weight, quality are perfect. Only thing is they are a bit hard to apply. Have tiny screws that must be hand screwed in first, that tightened w a screwdriver. Problem is, they don’t screw in flush with the fabric, giving it a tiny space in between, so I ended up using glue on each stud while screwing it in to keep it tighter. They look great! But lots of work.

The color and finish of these studs is excellent. The screw-back style is far more sturdy than pin-backs. The included tools are all that you need to install the studs, but if your material is particularly thick, you might want to use a power drill or a rubber mallet to punch out the holes for the fasteners. These are much easier for reinforcing glue-back patches as opposed to sewing and look great if you're making a battle jacket or vest.

These little round of spikes were so easy to screw in. I wish the set came with more, but I guess I’ll just have to buy more packs of them. Took a couple hours to screw in the whole pack. Very sturdy and easy. Thank you!!!

Awesome because they don't have the super sharp tip. Easy to put on my leather boots and a leather purse. More adventures to come. Great purchase, will buy again.

My son showed me a pic of custom sneakers on Etsy for $300. We compromised with making them ourselves. Studs are sturdy, stay in place and so far no rust or anything. Highly recommend!
