Does what it should
Does exactly what it should. I use it to connect to TV screens for karaoke and have used without any issues with 15 metre cat 5e cable.

No Sound, Red Lines in image very poor quality item.
This product does not work with sound from my Sky+ box. The picture is very bad with a lot of red lines on the video. I used this product to extend the HDMI of my sky box about 20 feet only and it would not work correct. The image was unwatchable and there was NO SOUND. I tried two cat6 cable one 20ft and one 3ft both had the same issue. I tried switching the TX & RX ports around and it worked the same poor quality way in both. I have requested a refund and will purchase another make that has a power supply.

Works well certainly on short cables
For a cheap solution this certainly does the job, I've seen lots of negative reviews but I can only imagine they plugged it in nothing happened so they gave up.Things to look for:Not in the current batch I have but in the past I have had the RX & TX incorrectly labelled so worth swapping around if you dont have any luck.If you are making your own cable make sure you cable test it with a cable tester, just one dodgy core will stop it working. The one thing I've found with these you can't have the settings on your device as auto detect resolution, you must set this as a fixed resolution otherwise you don't get a picture. Hense why you see on another post by sticking a splitter/booster box inline solved it because this would of solved the resolution issue.I'm running on 1920x1080 on 5 meters perfectly well but can't say how this will behave on anything longer.Hope this helps anyone with any issues I found.

Does the job well
Using wth a 20 meter cat5e cable. Did not originally work with a roku express (initial test) as power from roku not enough. Put it thru a powerd splitter and it worked no probs. Connected now to my sky q mini through the splitter (1 original TV and 1 to kitchen TV using 20m cable) and is working great no dropouts and perfect pic and sound.
