Maxon Fuzz Elements Ether Guitar Fuzz Pedal

I bought this pedal used in my town after the store guy told me that it could get a scuzzy univox & superfuzz sound. When I took it home and played it thru my deluxe reverb RI, it sounded too harsh and brittle. It would be cool for a synth maybe or even vocals and there is a WIDE range of EQ on this pedal. But, it is not as versatile as I was hoping for and actually sounded 70% cheaply made, 30% subpar and close-enough. I’d recommend buying used and of course don’t let my opinion dictate your choice; be sure to test out on your own. It’s a great pedal and I love fuzzy weirdness but this was hard to fall in love with.

Underrated pedal for ripping chainsaw fuzz-tones. Really versatile parametric EQ.No good for subtle playing, but really great for extreme solo sounds or industrial riffs.
