The media could not be loaded. I decided to get this because we only like to use a/c in the bedroom, but also wanted the cat to have free passage without leaving the door open enough for him to come and go. It defeated the purpose of having the a/c on when cool air was able to escape.This product does just what it said it would do and provides a nice seal to keep the cool air contained to just one space. Although it took a few days for our cat to understand the door, he did finally figure it out and comes and goes as he pleases just as we had hoped. We haven’t had it long, but hopefully it is long lasting since it is made of plastic. The magnets work great and close immediately upon walking through.My only feedback would be to have the Velcro strips that hold the “curtain” open when no a/c is in use to have a way to latch on the inside (when in use) so they don’t dangle down. Our cat has found them to be worth attacking a few times and we don’t want him to damage the plastic. They provide plenty of Velcro strips so I am considering cutting a few small pieces off to hold the strips up so they don’t dangle and look like a cat toy. Other than that, so far, so good!

Very pleased how this has performed. Using it on our entrance door to the garage. We heat the garage in the winter but want our pets to be able to come and go into the garage when they are outside. Our lowest temp so far this winter has been about 20 degrees which is pretty much the lowest we get in this part of the US. But even at that temp as you stand inside, you cannot feel the cold temp outside. Does a superb job of keeping the cold out. Even our cat who is skeptical of anything new, caught right on with a little training of how to come and go.

Works great as a dog door as long as your dogs aren't crazy wild flying through it. It hasn't fallen down but has suffered some tearing when friends' dogs are visiting and they are chasing each other at full speed from outdoors to indoors. I'm on my second one and have bought this for my friends. Easy to install. Can see through it well. Magnets are strong enough to keep the door closed unless there is a very strong wind. Then it sometimes needs some help closing.

First I want to be clear - this thing is ugly. If you’re buying it, you don’t care. The point is functionality, and for the price, it delivers. The plastic is cheap looking and wrinkly (see photos from other reviews), and I don’t like how you’re supposed to hang the center higher to keep it “balanced” because now it looks extra sloppy. However, if you follow the directions, it seems this thing works well. The magnets are strong and so far close behind me every time. That’s a welcome change from the previous mesh screen I was using. Also, because the Velcro runs the entire length of the sides, it feels very secure from bugs, drafts and heat. Now my cat can use the deck in all weather!

I now have three different versions of these magnetic-closing screen door thingies in my house. My objective here is to keep the bugs and the heat out of the house (I'm in Florida... heat index 115 degrees today) while allowing two dogs to come and go as they please, inside or out. The first one was just a screen to keep the bugs out. That works great. The few that figure out a way in are greeted by a bug zapper in the Florida room. The dogs figured out very quickly how to work the door and they are in and out all day through it.The second one was a thick, opaque "thermal" version. I bought that so I wouldn't have to keep opening and closing the door from my office to the rest of the house -- the dogs could go through it themselves -- and I wouldn't have to pay to air condition the whole outside. That worked great, too. Unfortunately, that made my office open to the Florida room, where it was 90 degrees.I didn't want to put another opaque door between the office and the Florida room, so I went looking for one that would block the heat, but was transparent so I could keep an eye on the dogs in the back yard. I did not actually expect to find such a thing. But here it is. I admit, I had my doubts when I ordered it.It works surprisingly well as a heat shield. When I go through it from the Florida room to the office, the temperature drops 20 degrees. It's amazing.I can now air condition my house and my office, while the dogs can come and go without me having to constantly open and close doors for them, plus I can still see outside from my desk.

Finally got around to putting up since the weather has been changing, and stopped raining. Pure trash. Definitely not insulated. My shower curtain is thicker than this thing. Ordered the size for my Door, they either sent wrong size, or sizing it incorrect. Doesn't fit. Went to remove to put on another door(smaller) and it ripped completely from the seams. Went right into the trash. WORTHLESS. Went to use the velcro they sent to fix one of my screens that I had on another door since I used existing velcro I already had hanging up. They didn't even provide me with the proper velcro to hang this up. The whole thing was worthless and a waste of my money. DO NOT BUY. BUYERS BEWARE.

I live in a house with two very drafty patio doors. I am very pleasantly pleased with the thickness and quality of this. It has definitely improved the temperature in my living room by stopping the winter drafts from getting in. It was very easy to install and well worth the price

Purchased twice. First time they sent me a used one covered in dog hair. Yes. But I needed it badly so I put it up. Couldn’t even see through it because of the damaged plastic but it worked perfect. It drove me crazy so I purchased another and it came new. Thank goodness.The trick is the measure for a perfect fit. Cannot be too tick or too loose.Has saved me hundreds on my electric bill so it’s worth it. Will be buying again. Just hopefully not someone’s trash
