My daughter did a number on our IPad. This product saved us a bunch over replacing our broken screen with a new iPad. We actually had to buy the item twice. The first time we made the mistake of not following the instructions to the letter and had to detach the screen after sticking it down. Upon trying to put it back together the glue wasn’t holding. We did however give the product another chance and when following the instructions and going to YouTube for a video tutorial, everything installed perfectly and is holding up nicely. It’s been over a month now and no problems. It fits just right and is smooth to the touch around all edges.

I purchased this Screen Replacement Glass Touch Digitizer Repair Kit for iPad 6 (6th Gen 2018) – Black hoping for a smooth DIY fix, but unfortunately, this product fell short in multiple areas. From poor adhesion to touch calibration issues, this kit turned out to be more of a headache than a solution. ⸻ TOUCH ID DOES NOT FUNCTION One of the biggest letdowns is that Touch ID doesn’t work with this replacement. Even though it comes with a home button, it does not retain fingerprint functionality, which is frustrating. If you rely on Touch ID for security and convenience, this is a deal-breaker. ⸻ VERY POOR ADHESION – SCREEN WON’T STAY IN PLACE The adhesive included is terrible. The screen barely sticks, and even after pressing it down firmly, it starts lifting at the edges within a few days. I had to buy extra adhesive just to keep it in place, which is something that shouldn’t be necessary with a proper repair kit. ⸻ TOUCH RESPONSE IS INCONSISTENT & NOT CALIBRATED This is by far the most frustrating part of the kit. The digitizer is not in sync with the screen, making it almost unusable. Typing is a nightmare because taps register in the wrong places, and dragging or swiping is unreliable. It makes simple tasks feel like a chore. I tried recalibrating, but it didn’t fix the issue. ⸻ BUILD QUALITY FEELS CHEAP The glass itself feels flimsy and lower quality compared to the original screen. Even the included tools are poorly made and not very durable—the screwdriver stripped easily, and the prying tools were barely effective. ⸻ NOT WORTH THE PRICE – AVOID IF POSSIBLE At this price point, I expected a functional replacement, but instead, I got a frustrating experience that wasted my time. Between the adhesion issues, poor touch response, and loss of Touch ID, I cannot recommend this kit. Spend a little more on a higher-quality replacement or take it to a professional.

I had completely shattered my iPad screen and was pleasantly surprised at how affordable this replacement was. It arrived super fast and the kit had everything I needed to for the swap out. The instructions were easy to follow. The hardest part was digging out all the broken glass from the old one. Here's the negative and why I want others to read this: I broke this new screen while sticking it to the frame of the iPad. I think there was a little bit of the old glass I didn't get cleaned out and that's all it took. New screen, fresh crack all the way through. NOTICE THAT I STILL GAVE THIS FIVE STARS!! This is my fault, not the fault of the item. Learn from my mistake. Clean up thoroughly and don't rush. It's still glass and you have to treat it gently. Or take it to a nerd friend that can change it out for you. I'll probably end up ordering another one to try it again.

Very easy to install and it came with a clear instruction and useful tools. Took me 10 min to get it all done from start to finish. My daughter’s iPad screen works flawless like brand new. Would highly recommend it.
