Does its job, well made
This little door does its job when it is windy outside. It doesn’t provide a perfect seal, and isn’t supposed to, it just blocks the wind coming in the pizza hole while leaving a gap on the top. It is pretty easy to finagle and the handle stays cool so you don’t need gloves.

it does a good job of keeping the heat in
Very difficult to put in place. When the oven is hot, you can’t hold the oven to manipulate the cover. That makes it almost unusable. Once in place, it does a good job of keeping the heat in. To work around it the bad design, I use oven mits to lift the whole top and then slide the cover in place.

Fits prefect, essential add on
Fits in there perfectly and reduces the opening to less than an inch across the top, which makes the preheat time nearly under 10 min. Well worth it. So much so, that I think this should really just come with the oven. Well made, does not get hot to the touch during use.

Doesn’t fit perfect, but does the job.
It does it’s job, but there it doesn’t fit quit perfect. I modified it by bending the tabs and adding an extra few screws. Helps keep the heat in, and temperature around 800F

Pronto Wind door does not work
There seems to be a problem with Wind Door. First of all, it will not fit a Pronto that has a Visor or Rain shield (?) over the opening. Its supposed to lift "up" to remove according to the instructions. That can't happen if you have the newer version of Pronto with the visor or rain shield at the top of the opening. Older models do not have the visor maybe????? Pizzacrafts' web site makes no mention of this, very disappointing.... because they have a great product with the Pronto. I'm returning my Wind Door. Poor product, but it was well built,... just will not work as described. Note: only one version of this Wind door is offered. Dont look at Pizzacrafts reviews of this item because they are all 5 stars and >>they are all 2 to 4 years old<<, nothing recent. VERY Disturbing. That's why I came here to write my review. They are selling an item that does not work with the current Pronto being sold.... Mine is 6 months old, it has a visor.

it doesn't fit, but for $11.50 it's worth modifying.
The height of the "Wind Door" lifts the cover of my Pronto. (my newer model has the rain/visor looking lid.)It only lifts it about 1/8 of an inch, so it can be used. The part that doesn't really work, is that to use it on the Pronto, you utilize a tab that goes over the front lower lip of the oven. The problem is, when the "Wind Door" is as open as you can slide it, it still interferes for two or three inches into the oven. So it is difficult to use, when your are baking a pizza, as it blocks about 1/5 of the opening.I plan to use two strong magnets, one on each side, to make it easy to install and remove. To me, the curved metal and handle are worth the 11.50 they charge. but if it was more money, it wouldn't be worth it. It may work better with the PizzaQue, that does not have the rain/visor on the dome.

Great product
This product blocks wind and cold air (I used it in 40 degree weather with a slight wind) and makes the use of the Pizzacraft oven much more efficient.

Should come with it.
Mine fits great and goes on and off quickly when I use it. Helps with the wind or to cover the front hole when not in use.
