Uniden DECT 6.0 Silver Cordless Digital Answering System with Caller ID and Two Handsets (DECT1580-2)

We have had the phone for a few weeks now. We love it ! It is very clear with no background noise.(our old phone had static and pops.) It isn't affected by things like our microwave or other electronic devices. Love the design and the numbers are lit up and easy to read. We always do our homework before we buy anything, and found this phone to be a great bargain for a great product.

We had this model for about eight years and the answering machine quit working. This one is exactly the same of course. We did not need the extra hand sets, but we have had to get one every once in a while. S o they go into storage. It was packaged well and came on time. I reccomend this product.

I bought these phones factory reconditioned, one of the phones works ok but the sound is poor on it, the other phone does not work at all. It is not worth spending the money to ship it back so I have one poorly working phone and one phone that does not work at all. My son bought the same phone set for his business, but he purchased them brand new, and so far no problems with his set.

Compared to other phones with the same characteristics, these phones have a very good price, but they do have a couple of problems. I do get a bit of interference depending on how "far" I am from the base, which should be normal if I lived in a big house, but not in my case which is a medium sized apartment. Another bad thing, compared to Panasonic for example, is that each phone is independent with it's caller id and phonebook: if you add a phone number on one, you have to manually copy it to the other phone, or if you view missed calls on one phone's caller id, they will remain on the other phone and you'll have to erase them again. The last problem worth mentioning is that the speakerphone sometimes dies. I haven't figured out what really happens, but the sound sometimes just mutes, and after you move the phone it'll sound again. I don't think it's a cable or something loose, because it happens with both phones. Features are nice, answering device is nice.

I bought this phone on june 14 and Im very sad cause I worked only for 13 days that's ridiculous. last week I came home and found out that in the LCD said "searching" and I couldn't make any phone call or answer ,it seems like the phone was blocked .I called to Uniden costumer service and i followed all the directions they gave me ,I reset the phone and the phone was supossed to register again and it didn't ,It kept saying the phone is not register. In costumer service told me to unplugged the phone , take out the batteries and didn't work , so , they told me there was nothing else they could do. I have to return the phone . I'm very dissapointed and I bought this one cause I had an old version of Uniden phone which worked for more than 6 years without any problem and I just wanted to upgrade my phone . Now I put back my old one while I buy a new one.

This Uniden DECT 6.0 phone set works great with nice features and it is affordable. The ring tone of the phone is a little soft but the ring tone of the base is loud enough. I like the personal ring tones linking with caller ID. Connection between the handsets are very clear. I have one handset downstair and one upstair. I definitely would recommend this phone.

i love the looks of the phone,but i have adjusted the volume all the way up and sometimes its hard to hear the conversation.i think its the holes in the phone are not large enough.when on speaker phone you can hear fine.

I already had a set of these Uniden phones at another house, so I knew they would be good and looked for the exact same type when I needed to purchase more. The updated version is just as easy to work with, and judging from my other ones there will be far less problems with them than other makes of these types of phones.
