It works fine but it doesn't make a very annoying high pitch noise when not at full power level.

I've had to return this item because it remains electrically active in the OFF position and will reliably trip household fuses within about 30 minutes of being connected even if the motor it is intended to control (a small brushless one very much below the stated power capability of the device) is not in use.This speed controller works reasonably well in the High and Medium speed ranges indicated on the casing but below that, speed is erratic even when the motor is not under load and even if the speed selected is approaching the Medium range.On the positive side, the unit is conveniently compact and neat and has its own mains socket. If you are prepared to disconnect the device to be controlled every time the unit is not in use, this may be a suitable purchase for you. However, I need a device on which OFF really means off and this does not suit my purposes.

Nice finish to product.. but due to what I can only tell as themselves trying to stop cases of fan/ coil wine for most users the unit doesn’t turn down far enough.. starts at around 70-75% through to 100%..Was good enough for use as I needed more voltage control.

I do use this thing, but i cant see it working fine at all, and now in December i just removed and feels like the same as without it...
