Q: is this bandages 4 ft (48in) in length?

Yes, this is a 4 ft bandage when Unstretched length 5.3 ft (1.6 m)

Q: the dimensions don't make sense 5x2x2. it's not a box. how long is it really?

It came in a box that size...I think it's about 36" long...plenty long to go around a foot and ankle

Q: How do the clips work?

The old all metal clips are no more. ( silver, kinda shaped like an hourglass with 2 little triangle punch outs at each end of the hourglass making the 4 teeth to hold the end of the wrap to what was wound on). Enlarge Ace bandage pic. See pics? Now they are cream colored clips, still two teeth at each end to hold, but now a bit of elastic band 1/2" or less to give a better hold. Need a wrap? Buy one you'll see using clips in a no brainer.

How do the clips work?

Just to be clear, there is one 2" wrap in a box, and i get two boxes? is that correct? so, ultimately, i get two ace wraps? not answered by other.
