When does the last book come out?!??!
Well, that was one way to put it.Created.Not conceived the way normal people were. Yep, that's me: mutant extraordinaire.Having only recently started this series, I devoured all four book in five days...what a journey & it's not even finished! I think this book was probably the most emotional of the lot so far. Silver was forced to make some pretty tough choices that tore her apart, but were necessary at the time...at least she believes them to be. We lose someone during the course of this book that hit me a little harder than I would have guessed. All you Silver/Logan fans out there (I admittedly am not one of them, sorry, please don't kill me) will be put through the ringer. You will love some parts of this book, hate others, then do a little happy dance. I think I will just have to suck it up& deal with the fact that these two will be together. I will admit that their love for each other shows more clearly in this book than previously, it still doesn't sit right with me personally....please don't send out the lynch mob, this is just my lonely opinion (I do have my reasons, which I laid out in my Impulse review, so I won't rehash them). One character that continues to grow on me is Christian. I really have come to love that snarky bastard, but as this book winds down I'm left wondering what will happen next with him. He has proven to be loyal, protective, funny as hell, there is just something undeniably sexy & mysterious about him. And did I mention funny?!?"Better talk or I'll introduce you to my two best friends," he said harshly, holding up his fists. "Meet thunder and lightning. If you don't start talking, it's going to storm all over your face.""Your fella was a real joy to travel with. I thought you were a barrel of monkeys, but that one is the whole fecking zoo."We get to know Silver's relic as she develops into something I never expected.Simon is Simon, he will always hold a special place in my heart, but sadly he is absent for most of this book, as is Adam :(Justus & Silver's relationship continues to pull at my heartstrings. And though I think I always harbored some hope that they would end up together, it has become quite clear that isn't going to happen, but I still love where they are. They have come a long way.He would always be Ghuardian in my eyes.A man who had mentored me, taught me the laws to live by, and showed me a stranger could influence my life in ways I'd never imagined. A man who'd opened his home and his heart to an obstinate young Mage with no family of her own.And of course there's Finn, I am so proud of where he is going. I may not love Silver & Logan as a couple, but I do still love him & his brothers Lol. The villains move to a whole new realm of crazy & nightmarish in this one. Seriously, I spent sooo much time on the edge of my seat biting my nails, just terrifying. My favorite part of these books has become the closing chapter. It always comes to an end with the most incredibly sweet scenes between Silver & Justus. I'm left clutching my heart with a big stupid grin on my face. Now that I'm finished binge reading this series, I'm seeing the error of my ways as I'm left waiting for the last book!! I really have to know how it all ends LIKE NOW, total book hangover, when does the next book come out?!??!

Sigh....
Sigh....yeah, that's pretty much sums it up for me every time I finish one of Ms. Dark's novels. It's a sigh of contentment coupled with the disappointment that my reading pleasure has ceased, and thus will have to patiently wait for the next installment in the Mageri series. Which, to my understanding will be the final book in the series. It's all a very bitter-sweet symphony when I think about that time coming to pass. So I try not to anticipate nor dwell.Well enough about all my literary drama and lets get on with all the juicy deets regarding Gravity. I will try and leave out any spoilers cause that's how I roll when I write a review. Gravity picks up right about where Impulse ended. Logan and Silver are courting, Silver is now working for Halo and without fail, she is still a magnet for trouble. Adam is a hot mess, Justus is beginning to show signs that he may in fact have a soul, Simon is, well, Simon and the introduction of characters, Page and Christian play more prominent rolls in this book.Oh, Lordy I can't fan girl enough about Ms. Dark. She is one of my favorite Authors and her Mageri series is by far one of the most creative Urban Fantasy's I've had the pleasure of reading. Girlfriend knows how to throw down a fantastic novel. She is truly a heavy weight when it comes to style, prose and whit. Her writing has gravitas (forgive the pun) and I dare anyone to say otherwise! Well, she defiantly delivers another winner in the fourth installment of this series. So much so I cried. Yeah, that's right, I wept like a baby. Not only once but two times!!! Seriously, if tears flow from these eyes while reading a book that means I have become totally invested in the characters. Which also means you have to be one heck of a writer to grab me and make me want to care about your characters. And that is exactly what Danni does every time.Geez, do you think she'll mind that I called her Danni?I suppose if I had to get all kinds of nit-picky I'd say I thought there were some character inconsistencies. Logan and Silver's friends respond to a pivotal event in the book that left me scratching my head, thinking, "nah they wouldn't just let that one go would they?" But oh yes friends, let it go they did. That was a little hard for me to digest. This didn't sour me on the book per se, but I wasn't buying it either. But hey, don't worry I'm still a fan and still heart the series. But seriously folks, if you are a reader of Urban Fantasy and have yet to pick-up one of Dannika Dark's works then I don't know what sort of rock you have been living under because she is starting to blow-up the genre. And the buzz around her is nothing but positive.I give Gravity by Dannika Dark 4.75 stars.
