Amazing for price !!
These are absolutely fantastic!! The paper is great and can handle a ton of water. Coldpress, but not super textured. And so big, especially for the price! I usually hate landscape sketchbooks, but considering the size, it’s actually great for me.It’s also a good size for my bag for travel painting (my bag is a larger hiking bag)The covers are fabric but they’re smooth enough that I can still get most stickers to stay on it (I like decorating my sketchbooks)I’ve had no issues with the binding, and I stuff my sketchbooks full of things like cards, stickers, receipts, and random ephemera, like a half sketchbook-half scrapbook.

Perfectly textured watercolor journal
I am a watercolor artist. Sometimes I just want to paint for myself and not worry about if I am going to waste paper. I purchased this set of two watercolor books for the purpose of journaling my watercolor. They are the best. The paper holds a nice wash of color. It is thick and durable too. The texture is like cold press so it has some tooth to it. It was inexpensive so I don’t feel like I have to perform with it, I can just relax and paint or draw. Lovely books. Will buy again.

Perfect travel journal or practice journal.
This journal surprised me. I read the same experiences from other reviewers and had to try it out for myself. The books are beautiful inside and out. I am using one for a field journal and the other to work at home. One thing I wanted was good paper to work with, but not have to pay alot. I am on a budget so getting a 100% cotton journal wasn't an option. I have been looking for paper to paint on that isn't super expensive and finding journals that also weren't too expensive. I also wanted one that was hardcover and well bound. These also lay flat which makes it really easy to work in. I love the landscape layout for field journaling. These are great and hit all the requirements I had for a good travel journal. Excellent paper, construction and value. I highly recommend for practicing and field journaling. Also great for beginner artists, because the paper is great and absorbs the paint very well. I will buy these again.

Not professional quality, but darn good and such a deal!
These are a steal. The paper has a pronounced texture, kind of in between cold press and rough, and it's got a very uniform texture as is usual for inexpensive, non-cotton paper. That said, it's fantastic for practice and for travel when you want to draw, paint, and journal without worrying that you're using up your 40-dollar Hahnemuhle. The sizing on this paper makes it perform like a much better paper. It does buckle if you do multiple heavy washes. But that's not even a concern at this price point. It's quantity over quality, and in some instances, that's what you need, to really free up your process.

Nice journal
I love the size of these little journals. The watercolor paper is nice and strong and has a good texture. I use it for multimedia work so not especially high-quality watercolor paper if that’s what you’re after but I love the size.

Quality was confused with a high $ German brand sketchbook!
This sketchbook took 4 weeks of travel like a champ. I used it daily. The pages stayed IN the book. The paper is a buff white, but I got used to it. There’s also a texture, but again, I got used to it.Paper warps a little with watercolor, but the paper did Not shred. Ink doesn’t bleed thru. Modpodge doesn’t warp the paper!LOTS of pages! You can watercolor and marker double sided because these won’t bleed thru (at least for me)!I took into a European shop and asked if they had any sketchbooks with similar paper quality. Close but not are an expensive “global” brand that begins with “H.” The shop helper thought my book was an an “H” brand” because the paper is so good! As is the hardback cover! And it mostly lays flat when open! Two complaints, but these books still get 5 stars from me:There’s no pocket on the inside back cover. I made one.The bookmark ribbon is barely long enough to pull thru. I extended it with a string.I’ll be using these books from now on. Bought and used two sizes: 8.5x8.5 and 5x8

Great quality watercolor book
I’m new to watercolor and this book seems great. Nice quality, paint doesn’t bleed through the pages. I really love it.
