Source Naturals GastricSoothe Zinc L Carnosine* - 60 Veggie Caps

Great product

I have (had) an ulcer and it hurts (used to hurt). Badly. I was taking both prescription strength PPIs and H2 antagonists simultaneously, and I was still in constant pain, needing to eat every half-hour to reduce the agony. The prescriptions did help, but my ulcer was definitely not healing.So, I looked for supplemental relief. I tried Aloe vera gel, and it did help a bit, but I needed to take it often. It also tasted bad. That wasn't a big problem for me, but some people may not be able to stomach it.Then I found this, Source Naturals Gastric Soothe. I took 1 capsule 4 times a day with my other medications. The results were, for lack of a better word, miraculous. In 3 weeks the pain was so faint I could stop the H2 antagonist, and in a couple of more weeks, the pain was completely gone. After 6 weeks, I tried a mixed drink. They had used to double me over in pain, but now, no pain!I still take the PPI (for now) and rarely drink, as I don't want to push my luck, but the pain is totally gone. I don't have to eat every few minutes and have lost some weight. I sleep better, and generally enjoy my day a whole lot more.Other Thoughts:Gastric Soothe's only "active" (not the correct term for a supplement, I know) ingredient is Zinc L-Carnosine. I chose this brand because the others I saw added herbs or other minerals I was not keen on taking. From my experience with this supplement, you don't need any other ingredients. This works great by itself.I've read Zinc L-Carnosine increases production of natural mucus which protects the stomach from acid.On a side note, two supplements that definitely made my ulcer worse were histidine, a precusor to histamine, which among other things stimulates acid production in the stomach. The other was n-acetylcystine. (NAC) This supposedly has a side effect of decreasing mucus production, the exact opposite of Zinc l-Carnosine. Some prescription combination supplements also contain NAC. Both may have their uses, but ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking them if you have an ulcer. Really, one should ask his or her doctor about every supplement he or she takes, as we all know, and don't do. Also, don't treat chronic stomach pain, or any kind of pain, without a diagnosis from a doctor. In fact, if your doctor offers to treat it without investigation...find a new doctor.That's my two cents, sorry if I sounded like a smarty-pants.To sum it up, get Gastric Soothe if you have (been diagnosed with) an ulcer that just won't go away. You'll thank yourself.

Reasonable price. Great company. Great product. Easy to open. Works well for those with stomach sensitivity. Essential vitamin. Using for a while. No issues or complaints.

Keep in mind, I am not a medical professional.I was diagnosed with gastritis last year via an upper endoscopy. (They put a tube down your throat while you are under anesthesia, and take pictures of your insides.)[Painful tummy for a long time before I had this procedure...I didn't know what was wrong.]I came across this product, and thought I'd give it a try. Thankfully, it has made a significant difference in soothing my stomach. I sometimes take one at a time, other times I take two.Since I use it everyday, I wish it was cheaper. But it's worth the price because it works really well.Thank you, makers of Gastric Soothe, for making a quality product, and for naming it something that caught my eye and helped me just as I hoped it would!

I have been suffering from chronic active gastritis and GERD for years and was diagnosed with H. pylori 3 years ago after treatment the symptoms subsided, thinking I was cured I went back into my bad habits of eating and drinking whatever I want and it backfired on me ten fold. There was times I couldn't eat or drink anything, I even hate going to sleep at night because of the discomfort. At nights I would have to sleep with an ice pack on my stomach just to get a full night's rest. I tried everything and nothing worked until I ordered gastric soothe, after the first full dosage day I felt relieve, I didn't believe it at first but it was working. I followed and continue to follow the directions taking it morning and night along with black cumin seed oil and with some changes to my diet I now love sleeping and eating a balanced diet with a few cheat days. Gastric soothe gets an A+ from me

After going to the doctor for my acid stomach and gas, really bothering me for several months, she recommended that I take prilosec for six weeks. I bought the generic Omeprazole and took one tablet each morning for four weeks, since I was still having problems, I decided to take two tablets for the reminder of the two weeks. I took one in the morning and the other at bed time. While it helped a lot, I was still having a lot of problems. At this time, I was also taking DGL, that also helped, but not enough.Then, I then did a search on Amazon and read about this product. I took it that first night, and lo and behold, next morning, only a very slight feeling of gas/acid in my stomach. I tried both taking only one capsule in the morning and the other in the evening. With that, only a very slight feeling of constipation and acid reflux. I am eating regular and having normal bowel movements (what a relief!).It has been about two weeks since I starting taking this product. However, I still have very slight problems with my stomach, but I am hoping after a couple of months, that my stoamch returns to normal and I do not even endure, even the existing slight stoamch problems.I would like to extend my thanks for those individuals who posted their positive reviews, with all their symptoms; they convinced me to try this product

I cannot believe this product contains Maltodextrin! I won't take it, and I can't return it. Shame on the manufacturers for this product.

Not sure I experienced any benefits. Didn’t notice any major changes.
