I used this to boil down foliage to make botanical dyes last summer. It worked great. It was running nearly everyday for hours at a time for about 3 months. I fired it up again this summer and have used it another 4 weeks daily on for hours at a time again. It finally conked out. Given the very large amount of time it was on, outside, left out in the rain, in the hot sun, this is a winner. I used it far more than typical cooking times. I recommend.

I purchased and returned 1000W Cooktop with 7.25 Inch Cast Iron Hot Plate. Don't expect water to come to a bubbling boil for pasta. Steam it, yes. But boiling in a larger pot, no. I feel it would be a useful in a pinch. I wanted something I could use frequently for various one person dinners, and this isn't going to work for me. If you need to fry eggs or various breakfast items, then yes. But don't expect a good steak or bubbling boiling water in a large pot.

From testing it since I opened the package this morning it is done its job and it did well past my expectations. It has heated up my food with my pants is a very speedy and efficient.

My wife loves the hot plate it's durability is great no smoke looks good works well the size is perfect for our camper no smoke we love it

I really like this burner. It's sleek, very small foot print with a 7"~ burner. The disk I assume is cast iron. Even at full blast I was unable to get a rolling boil with a 8" pan with 2" of water in belly. I was hoping to use as a wok flame, but no chance. For sauces, it is awesome. The price is so inexpensive, it's perfect for sauces, but don't expect to stiry fry, uhh, anything, no how, no way. I'd send it back knowing its weakness, that weakness is the cast disk on top. A coil would do much better. I love how slim it is, so it's no my sauce pan.FYI, I put a trigger temp guage on it, on it's plate it will hit 600 degrees, but carote granite, t-fal (anodized), and cuisine art stainless, no boil, put in some oil on cuisine art stainless she boils water, barely. Maybe a smile, but never anything more.You want a sauce pan, she's perfect, but if you want to reduce to sauce or hard boil, just isn't gonna happen. I will keep her but for slow simmer sauce. I really wanted a harder hitter, but well its less than 20 bones, so, yeah, there is that.Fit and finish is sweet, well made, even if it is China. Luck and care,

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Amazing. Didnot expect it to heat up this fast and retain the heat. I have my kitchen remodeling happening and needed some stove other than instant pots. Was skeptical while buying but beat my expectation. Worth buying. It’s a keep and savior.
