I use Puritan's Pride for almost all my vitamin purchases and all their products are affordable, high quality vitamins and supplements. Their Biotin is the only product that has improved the thickness and growth of my thinning hair. I am a senior and this is parts of the aging process, UGH! Once, I ran out of the Puritan's Pride and bought another brand. The hair growth stopped and I vowed to never use anything but Puritan's Pride Biotin!My hair stylist on Long Island, NY (where I lived my entire life until moving to Michigan 3 yrs ago) recommended Puritan's Pride Biotin to me almost 15 yrs ago for a thin spot in the front of my hair. I used their Biotin 5000 mcg soft gel caps 2x day initially for a few years and then dropped down to once a day.When I moved to Michigan I continued to order from Puritan's Pride, but my new hair stylist here recommended Nature's Bounty Hair, Skin and Nails (white bottle/pink & white label) so I bought a big bottle and used it for about 4 months. My hair thinned again, in the same spot by my part, and there was NO new little hairs growing! My finger nails were thinning and tearing, and the only thing that grew were my toenails!So, I went back to the Puritan's Pride Biotin, but increased the dose to Ultra Mega 7500 mcg quick release soft gel caps once a day initially and will reorder the 5000 mcg soft gel caps soon to maintain the new growth. I have only been using Puritan's Pride Biotin again for 30 days and my hair stylist confirmed there is new growth again!
