I purchased these pyle 6x9s' for a project. The project is a game that really requires top notch quaility sound to make sound effects seam as real as possible. Keep in mind i did not put these in a car. SO.... i did the unthinkable! I built a T- Line box with slotted port for these like in the pic. The box is 1.212 Cuft each speaker, and comes in around 45HZ. On face where speaker is mounted I carved a tweeter horn out of 2x8 lumber and mounted this to the front of the box. Each speaker has its own box and the two boxes are back to back. I have a Planet Audio PL2400 4channel amp bridged running them. Guys all i can say is its all in the build!! The mids and highs come at you like hifi, because of the wood horns that i mounted them to. Lets talk about the bass. I have been doing car stereos since a kid. I have had some awesome systems. Sitting in a 14' x 12' room im my house. I could start to hear bass frequency at 9hz. Can you play music at that.....NO , but it was very interesting that it was even audible!! SO with this build , playing R and b old school , new school , rock , rap, country, the sound was awesome from 25hz and up!! You would swear you were in a car with a pair of 10 inch subs!! Got some scrap lumber laying around build and see for your self!! On the Square port length 1 and 2 pieces facing the back of speaker i used ribbed foam rubber as a cushion and sealed the rest. If you build this correctly with the size i have given you will not be disappointed!! Oooooh yeah, hey Pyle.... hope you read this, the speaker wire that you guys packed in the box with these speakers, WTH. why would you even put it in there, junk! Guys throw the speaker wire away at the start and get your own!! Good luck

I had bought these for the hood price and color scheme also love the yellow but out of the box low side had static. Will not go away. Contacted the company tried to play it’s my fault I didn’t know what I was doing. I have been doing car audio for 30 years. 240 stereo with 500 watt speakers will not blow them. They don’t stand behind their product. Please don’t be stupid and waste your hard earned money. It’s doesn’t sound like a lot of money but if u buy these do yourself a favor throw the money in the fireplace. Buy alpine or sundown or even pioneer they all stand behind there products. Will never buy anything from this company ever again. Thanks but no thanks.I wish I could give them a negative score because I never got to use them.

Holy smokes. For the price I’m thrilled. They sound great. Can turn the volume up all the way with stock stereo, zero distortion. Did have to drill some holes and devise some shims. This unit really requires a bracket I could not locate to go in my 2018 f150 xl. I drilled 3 new holes and bought new fasteners and had to devise a 1/2” shim. When I installed the first time, the speaker was so big, it stopped the power window from opening, took longer than it should. It gets 4 stars for its price and quality. The magnet is HUGE, and the low end is great.

Sounds great, My old school Alpine CDE 7858 has 45watts per channel. While I'm certain that with 100 watts Rms I would get full sound potential from the Pyle 8 way 6×9 speakers, I am happy with the current performance.

So I installed these in my 1991 Toyota Corolla. The speakers arrived in a well packed box from the factory, and came with everything needed to install it, including screws. When I opened the box, 1 speaker was good, 1 speaker was already crackling when I tested the woofers for movement. So, thanks to Amazon's amazingly easy returns policy, I got another set of speakers within a few days. When I opened the box, again, the exact same defect was apparent again. Fortunately, now I have 2 good speakers from 2 different boxes. After installing them, they sound okay. My car stereo only puts out 17 watts RMS, not monstrous by any means. Out of 40 total on my stereo dial, I put them up to 27 and they started distorting. When I was installing them, I was considering installing them with an amp to power them, but after hearing them distort right off the bat, there is no way. The bass on these speakers isn't very good. I have the bass maxed out, with 2 levels of bass boost on, and its still not very deep. I expected more from them (the Mach 400 stock system in my old Mustang had 6 x 9's, and they actually thumped a little). I realize that these aren't subwoofers, but good grief, there should at least be some definable bass to them! The only reason I gave these a 3 out of 5 is the fact that the mids and the highs from these speakers is actually pretty good. Combine them with a subwoofer, and you'll actually have a pretty good sounding system. Overall view: You really to get what you pay for. For my little Toyota, which is just mine, and my wifes work car, they're okay. Lots better than the blown 5.25" that were in it. If you want deep bass, this is not the right place to look. If you want a decent mid speaker for a complete system, these are an okay option. Pyle's quality control definitely needs to be looked at though, 50% of their stock is blown out of the small sample I saw.

Everything worked out great. My rear speakers finally arrived without any problems at all. One more item to buy and then i can have everything installed, my 400w 4 channel pyle amp. Thanks amazon.. the speakers are totally awesome, but I bought a different Pyle amp. 2000w 4 chanel. built-in fuses and a emergency shut down if it were to get to hot. but I wired a small fan so it's blowing on it all the time. i take care of the things I buy myself. not that it was super expensive, but I'm a very clean person and i like things to stay looking and working the best they can. i have 6.5 in speakers in each door, 400w Pyle and i have a 1000 in the 4 speakers in my back deck. thanks to Daryl s car autio.

These speakers 🔊 are very good and have good sound quality especially for the price of them its a good deal.

All my main speakers are amplified through hi level input not rca and separate amp for sub using LOC and rca’s. 8:1 speaker ratio 4-6x9’s 2-6.5’s 2-1.5’s. After installing these in some boxes and getting all my levels dialled in just right I was very impressed with the sound quality. Very loud and clear highs and mids with good bass. Great value.

Great sound in my jeep.. quality speakers and the price was right. Its hard to invest money into jeep luxury items when the jeep gets used hard.. but these were cheap and wasn't a worry. .. Very pleased with the audio sound and I'm bumping tunes once again

Total trash. Blown in a week on a stock dodge ram stereo.

So the speakers in my truck are 6 by 9 so I bought these as replacement, because the speakers are so deep with the magnet, if you have a 4th gen ram, behind the stock speakers there is a metal bar that is mounted to the plastic mount. The speakers will not fit unless you break the joint that’s holding the bar in place, I bent mine off with a pry bar, but if your not prepared to do that, get a pair that is less deep. Already a huge improvement in sound and I’m not finished installing the back yet
