SCANPAN Classic Glass Lid, 28 (cm)

Ce couvercle est bien conçu. Le bouton ne chauffe pas, donc pratique. L eau ne s accumule pas sous le bouton, lors du lavage (j ai jette un que j avais a cause de ça) : entretien facile et le couvercle n est pas lourd. Il n y a pas de trou pour la vapeur sur le couvercle (pas important pour moi), le cercle en inox qui entoure le verre est de belle qualite avec une finition parfaite. Et le couvercle fait pile 28 cm.

I ordered 2 different sizes of this glass cover and was satisfied with both; they were delivered quickly, of great quality and fit very well.

This looks like a super pan. Looks nice, seems well made. I crossed my fingers and took a chance to see if the 11 inch size of this Scanpan glass cover would fit my 11 inch All-Clad French Skillet which lacks a lid. Unfortunately, it doesn't. The inner rim of the lid is just a tiny bit too big to seat into the pan rim, Easy return, but I'm paying return shipping of course, so just wanted to save the trouble for anyone else looking for a glass lid for that All-Clad pan. I'm still looking. Have tried the Swiss Diamond ( Swiss Diamond C28SD Tempered Glass Lid, 11-Inch ) with no luck. Next up, the Evaco ( EVACO Glass Cover Pan Lid (28 cm (11")) ).

I bought two lids to replace the originals ones that came with the frying pans years ago. I wanted to replace them because they were chipped on the inside edge. The originals did not have a metal strip to protect the edge. At first I was disappointed that these lids had a metal edge, I wanted them to be identical to the originals. However, after using them several times, hitting the lid against the pans several times while cooking, I have changed my mind and appreciated the protection the metal edge offers to the lids.
